Broaden yourself then. Feminism is a very fragmented movement with a wide spectrum. There are negative connotations associated with the feminism. It's not insecurity, its the want for some things to be untouched by what is quickly becoming a toxic fad.

Some people who have never met a female fighter could be ignorant to the fact that a pro fighter is still just that, a pro fighter. It is a hard level to achieve and you have to be strong mentally and physically. Being a woman or a man has nothing to do with it, a fighter is a fighter. Ronda is the real deal, hence, why she has haters if this were truly just a gimmick every man would love it because it is non threatening to there masculinity. thank you and that is all. Give respect where respect is due, and that is the bottom line.

THE MADTITAN sorry man, this is stupid. female fighters, while still amazing fighters, cannot even compete with a 20lb lighter male fighter. it's just one of the facts about our species. you are pretty ignorant of the matter.
she is an amazing fighter and the real deal yes, but only for a woman. she is a superior female fighter. can be nothing more.
this man is a great fighter his name is henry akins and he would dismember her if he wants. this was a demo and he was setting himself up for her for every throw, you know, for demonstration. get a clue people.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu looks just like Judo, because it is Basically Just Judo. When Mitsuyo Maeda, a.k.a. "Conde Koma", began teaching Carlos Gracie in Belem do Para, Brazil in 1917, he was teaching Jigoro Kano's Jiu-Jitsu direct from the Kodokan in Japan. The name "Judo" was not popularized until 1925.
Mitsuyo Maeda was a Kodokan Judo instructor whose specialty was ground fighting (newaza). This type of ground-only fighting is often referred to as Kosen Judo, or High School Judo, because it was popularized in Japanese High Schools as a form of interscholastic wrestling. Kosen Judo rules allowed direct transition to newaza, enabling scenarios where one less skilled competitor could drag the other down to the ground (a tactic now known as "pulling-guard" in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu).

"MITSUYO MAEDA finally settled in Brazil and opened an academy of "Jiu Jitsu" . One of his students was a young man named Carlos Gracie. After STUDYING with MAEDA for several years during the 1920's, Carlos opened his own academy in 1925. Carlos and his brothers established a solid reputation by issuing the now famous "Gracie Challenge". The Gracies continued to develop the strategies and techniques they learned from MAEDA, honing their skills with the realities of real fighting."

Its been a debate for a long time. Is the heavyweight UFC champion THE human alpha male? The answer is he probably is , at the night he wins the belt. There are probably better trained soldiers out-there that can defeat him in a street fight and whatnot but he could probably destroy 99% of the male population in a streetfight.
This being said there is no doubt in my mind that this is the complete alpha woman. There isnt any female in the world that can defeat her, streetfight or not. If no weapons are involved she is sure to rip appart the limbs of 100% female fighters in the world.

    • @illuderebeliarh1260

It doesn't belong here. Stand-up and Grappling are two different categories of fighting. They have different mindsets. A grappler is generally position > submission while a stand-up goes footwork > combo. (If you can get position better, you generally win as a grappler. If you have better footwork, you win as a stand-up fighter) Of course, there's much more to that, but that's simplified.
And we all know in a stand-up vs grappler fight who'd win. ;)

I'm a shodan in judo and that was some simple practice. He was giving her zero resistance and going along with the throws. The most likely even talked about what throws they would show off before this was recorded. Maybe come talk to me when you have rank in judo Chris Roy

thats henry akins, who used to be her boyfriend (not sure they are still dating)- that's why he's laughing and playing along they were not only sparing partners they were a couple.Jesus why do people make such a big deal everytime she throws a man out? She's obviously very very good with takedowns.I dont think she can submit henry but she definitely can submit a lot of men out there, and that's ok it's no big deal.

Actually judo was based off of jujitsu in the 1880's, not the other way around. But still, it originated in Japan, then it was later introduced to Brazil by a Japanese instructor who had probably the most famous student known today, Helio Gracie. Many of the grappling "inventions" made in Brazil were already used in the original, un-watered down version of Japanese jujitsu.

This will get misunderstood because I can't explain it properly, but in either case:
She is waaay too nice to be a world champ in any asskicking sport.
She is too exposed and genuine.
One cannot *completely* beast-mode and sustain that level of sincerity.
She feels bad about breaking limbs, it's amazing and I feel for her, but despite what Disney movies tell you, psychopaths always win.
Ronda is no psychopath (or a really really good one).

To all the people saying a large man would beat her, judo is about using your opponent's strength against them and I doubt she would have any trouble breaking their arm.
To all the people saying the guy was playing along. Of course he was it is a demonstration.
And finally to those saying that someone from a different martial art could beat her .probably, that is until she gripped up with them and a flying Ju-ji came out of nowhere.

Given her incredible level of skill (olympic), it's too bad so much of her attention will be about her physical attractiveness and presumed bed skill. Attractive as she clearly is, congrats to her - she's certainly paid her dues through training, and that is something to be honored.
