  • I recorded working on a client design request. I got it to an almost finished position in this one sitting. I added alcoves, lighting and rendered it on the higher specification PC separately (FINISHED RENDERS AT THE END OF THE VIDEO).
I would usually prefer more colour and character in my designs. I’m not 100% please with the combination that had been chosen for the tiles so I added Ca Pietra’s Glass House tiles to try and add more character.
My audio is a little here and there; I’ll work on that better with the next video.
Please like and share if you found this useful and/ or enjoyed the recording.
If you have any questions or requests, then please don’t hesitate to ask.
    Thanks for watching.

Great use of Articad! What performance is the pc you use please? Mine loads some catalogs very slowly.

      Thank you.
      My PC specifications are:
I9-10980XE - 18 Cores (Currently important for rendering)
32GB Ram (great for multiple windows. Old PC I had 64gb but seemed pointless)
The new update to ArtiCAD can use graphics cards for rendering, which is brilliant. I’ve a RTX3070Ti that will finally be utilised.

Very helpful. I've been trying to figure how to simplify the tile trim process, but I don't think there's a workaround. Do you use artitiler at all? I find with tiling, I often get very odd lines on either side of window/doors which looks rubbish. I'm guessing tile panels might be better solution for this?
it's certainly an interesting layout and very well designed. You've got an incredibly large library which I'm sure helps tremendously.
How the heck did you zoom in and out?

I also suffer with the odd lines. If it is every the tiles not being in line it will be because the texture isn’t set to global and more than likely object as standard.
The library of models do help; I learnt to create and convert models through lockdown and got addicted. The alcoves I use are models I import now as I find the quicker.
I don’t use Arti-tiler as I’m not enormously impressed with it. I prefer using my own tile textures and utilising the tile boards. The tile boards also allow more accuracy with calculating tile quantities.
Zooming will be your friend with the smaller stuff. Ctrl + shift and hold right mouse button (push forward or backwards for in and out).
Scroll wheel will work whilst holding those keys (it used to without holding keys, many versions ago).

@interiorcaddesigns super helpful! I generally use architextures for all tiling and wallboards. Works well and cheap enough. Thanks for the tips, I enjoyed it!
