    Besides the math, which is great, I really appreciate your efforts to mix it up a bit with different video formats. i graduated high school in 2015 in aus. we used these projectors sometimes, rarely, but whenever we did it felt similar to when the teacher used to roll out the big tv (and VHS player) on wheels - you'd feel like you had been taken back in time. i just can't get enough of this old tech and the asmr crossover is godlike. thanks tibees :)

      @@esquilax5563 I hardly saw overhead projectors used in my time in high school from the year 2000 to 2004 in The Netherlands, which is fun to see how people have experienced them being used so much later in time.
      Around 2008 or 2009 all of the overhead projectors got replaced by short-throw videoprojectors projecting against smartboards...
      They display TV, computers, and you can use them as "regular" whiteboards, all be it with them lagging behind finger movements a LOT.
      A whole lot different from how in elementary school watching TV required the teacher to find the right cable to put in the output port, or with videotapes, having to have a teacher that knows how to set the TV up correctly.

    There is something about ASMR were someone is passionate about what they are doing that make the ASMR so much better. The people that just read some sort of script feels so fake and disingenuous. The audio is absolutely fantastic as well in this video, it feels like I'm back in class or sitting with a tutor. You can create Pythagorean triples by taking two positive integers p, q with p > q and computing the triple by:
    c = p^2 + q^2, a = p^2 -q^2, b = 2pq
    e.g. p=2, q=1 --> c = 5, a = 3, b =4 or p=3, q=2 -> c = 13, a = 5, b=12

    I’m a Nepali student in Year 9 , and I actually used a different method in order to solve the last question
    I used the distance between the lines by inserting the equation of their locus . If the distance to and from these two points would be equal , then we’d prove that the two lines to be parallel , as despite of infinite number of points lying in these two respective locuses would always be equal for all the infinite points , if the lines were parallel to each other . Thereby , making it an inconsistent case . As predicted , a linear equation has been plugged in and used in order to solve the problem using this procedure or approach . Love your content though , keep up the marvellous work Toby !

  • @АзатМингалеев-в1к

    You can rewrite (x^2) / 4 + 3.6^2 = 3.9^2
    as 25x^2 + 36^2 - 39^2 = 0
    and 36^2 - 39^2 rewrite as (36 - 39) (36 + 39). So, in this way we can avoid work with float numbers.
    Or the second way:
    Our chorde intersect the diameter. 2 * 3.9 = 7.8 is our diameter and is divided by 2 segments with length of 7.5 and 0.3. Meanwhile chorde is splitted by half. Using fact that diameter and chorde form 2 homologous triangles we can write x/2 = sqrt(7.5*0.3). So the x will be 3

    I discovered you on Tiktok and just found your UA-cam channel. I’m so happy to see you doing an ASMR video because I find your voice so relaxing. Plus I just really enjoy science and math!

    I wrote a comment yesterday about you doing asmr because of your soft voice... you've got a new subscriber. You have no idea how much I will appreciate this video. I'm so happy right now!

    Hello Tibees! I am 12 years old and in grade 8 and your videos are immensely enjoyable. I have a great interest in physics and astronomy and I really enjoy your channel because of that. :-)

    YESS I’ve been looking for overhead projector asmr for ages, I’m only 6 months late but finally found it. It’s such a good idea, it was always a relaxing time in school.

    Your normal voice when you make non-ASMR videos is ASMR to my ears, you have a really soft voice I feel very comfortable while listening to your videos

    ASMR and math, a weird combination, but interesting nonetheless!

      I've been watching videos similar to this for a while to fall asleep during my exam weeks. I'm sad I cannot find more of them tbh. I wish someone did an ASMR video with L'Hospitals ;-;

    I remember those. Once My physics teacher used it , he explained that he uses it a lot in public schools. That teacher was so underrated.

    Thank you sooo much for this! I couldn’t believe it when I saw. Your voice belongs in ASMR. Also soft speaking > whispering any day for me😍 so I loved it

    8:24 Hey Toby,
    Since you're a graduate so they're is no way you have forgotten cubes so here 36x6 is just 6³ so it you could have wrote it right away and 36x3 is directly 108 so i guess you might know it
    And a great tip for solving Pythagoras triplets is that whenever you're sitting idol so what you can do is do all the calculations in your mind and take any 2 numbers and see if they do make the Pythagorean triplet
    This has helped me a lot.

    I remember one of my first experiences of asmr was in chemistry class. My teacher would write on the projection screen, then spray some cleaner and clean off the projector slide and wipe it and write a new one.

    Re: New Years Resolution - I finish 3 a year. Pro-tip: Make the resolution Mid Nov - Dec esp for smaller tweaks in lifestyle. It’s so insane your ASMR video starts with the GOAT relationship in Mathematics. My resolution was - finishing this philosophy series from TTC & re-do my office. Last year it was to play a round of golf and score even par. It was tough. I realised the aim dictates ditch everything above 7 iron and hit clubs I know I can smack it flush with. Leaving a full approach is easier than a chip or pitch or some other difficult shot. It was a great resolution.

    I started teaching at uni in Aus in 2008 and at that time the vast majority of the rooms were still with overhead projector. Luckily for the students who didn’t have to suffer my terrible handwriting, the printer/photocopier in our office could print directly to overhead transparencies. So that’s what I made and printed each week in PowerPoint, when most people were still writing solutions over and over ahead in each class on the whiteboard or blackboard. The transition to computer-driven digital projectors in each room was greatly appreciated though!
