- In this video from Count Backwards from 10, we take a look at the Thromboelastogram, how the machine itself actually works and what all of those letters mean. TEG is a technology growing in popularity for patient resuscitation, so understanding it and its readout can be crucial to stopping the bleeding.

Initially I thought that that was graph of smth (like clot growth) over time, and it wasn't clear to me what the lower, downward going line represented, so I was confused a bit. But then I realised that the whole graph just represents the amplitude of back and forth (or rather up and down) pin movement (with clot on it), and then everything became very clear. Thank you very much.
The way you you broke it down was phenomenal!! Thank you!

Hello, I just wanted to know if you could clarify something. I have heard in other videos on the TEG graph that suggest the K time was dependent on Thrombin. Would the enzyme dictate the K time and subsequently the alpha angle or would it still be determined by its substrate (fibrinogen)?
Except for volume it was well done
