- Working with plywood so far has not been a good experience for me. But I was given some plywood to see if I can make use of it versus it going into the burn pile.
Always repurpose everything you can, it saves our environment and puts to good use items that can be used!

My new winter hobby along with many other wood working projects!
Since October of 2022 I have been woodworking with what tools I had. The idea was to have something to do during the winter months. While I have always liked anything made of wood, whether is is a deck or a carving, I just had a love for it.

Subbed, enjoyed your chat/advise as I watched you beaver away on the pattern, I am really enjoying how relaxing it is to do scroll work, I am lucky my wife is great at drawing and design as she often draws straight on to the wood for me, I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Using the scroll saw is my form of meditation! It just seems to calm me. I think it's great that you enjoy it too! If you ever have any advice for me, I am open to it!

A couple of notes
1. when changing material add a test pattern in a corner of the waste area, use the test pattern to try different blades and train your brain as to how "this" material cuts.
2. On your previous piece with pine, be aware that pine's cutting properties will change drastically with age, the old the pine the harder the pine.
3. Reverse blades are less efficient at removing the sawdust from the kerf and the thicker the wood the more this happens.

@@Amy_McFarland Skip tooth blade without a reverse tooth are the best at removing sawdust from the kerf. My personal favorite is the FD Polar blades.

Happy birthday and that looks amazing! Far beyond my skills…. I can make cutting boards, doors and tables….. that was such an ornate piece of work!
Thank you! I do cutting boards occasionally but doors and tables, not so much. Once you get the hang of a scroll saw, it's then just a matter of practicing. These are all 1st time cuts in my videos and trust me the challenges are there.
