hi great video thank you, I have a question how to keep the nest box/cage floor clean specially in winter ? do you think metal mesh is ok at -20C ? or their feet get too cold ? do you recommend other materials like wood shavings or wood pallets for the nest box flooring ?
How’s it going! I use 3/4” green treated plywood for my flooring. Only during breeding season is when I use hay on the floor. I do that so the breeders can use the hay to build their nests and when I have young birds weaned to the floor.
I see why you're successful with your racing team....I love how organized you are and basically keeping everything simple , nothing extra!

What's your demension on each section of your breeding loft?
This is my old loft. The breeding section is a 4x8. I just built a new loft and now I have 2 breeding sections. Both 8x8.
