    Looks absolutely awesome... I learned a ton about marine applications with this video!! What do you think the lumens ended up being?

      Hello and thank you for checking out our video. Each light is 300 lumens and about 3 watts so each side ends up being about 1500 lumens and uses about 15 watts. So really nice. With a total of 3000 lumens it is plenty bright and looks awesome.

    Great video, may try it. Is it still running strong, is there anything you wish you did different? How did you flush mount it against the boat? is there a backer piece?

      Hello, They are still going good. That being said we don't keep our boat in the water all season. The longest we have had it in the water at the same time is 1 week. We wanted to put a bevel on the edge of the Starboard but forgot so other then that these lights turned out great. We mounted the lights to the trim tabs on our boat. We used stainless steel bolts and used a nut to adjust the space to let water flow all the away around the light and stand it off just enough to clean the wires. I will go get a pic to show how we mounted it. Thanks for checking out the channel

    How you attach this to the hull???

    • @Jimmy2Tech
      @Jimmy2Tech  5 років тому +1

      E attached them on to the trim tabs of the boat. That was we avoided putting extra through the haul besides a small one for wiring. This also didn't effect drag or anything to significant.

      @@Jimmy2Tech thanks, nice job, underwater leds are overpriced and not really waterproof

      @@stathisk3 Yeah they last a week or so and then before you know it they take in water and the light is no good. This way you can get a quality DIY light that wont take in water.
