Absolutely stunning! I have a pair of barn swallows that check out my garage for about 3 days every spring. They dive bomb me and everything, then carry on somewhere else. Love every minute of it.
Ahhh this video helped me discover I was photographing a violet green swallow the other day I couldn’t figure it out, they dive bomb and whip around, then finally got them in a tree 🌲 👌🏻😀👌🏻
When I was little, we had a pair of these birds take up residence in a nest box in our back yard. What amazed me was how calm these birds are to approach. They would be on the clothes lines or one peeking out of the box and I could walk right up to them inside of 5 feet. If I did get too close, they would take off and circle me then dive bomb me once and zip out of sight. I was enthralled. Sadly, a house sparrow booted them out of the box. But I made sure it didn't benefit by the theft by opening the box and leaving it that way. I never saw another pair of tree swallows in our yard, unfortunately. They are beautiful.
Oh my goodness!!! He's beautiful!! You must be out with your camera 24/7!! And you have so many birds I've never seen before! Are you up in the mountains of NC? Thank you again!
I love hearing the owl hoot too! Thank you for putting these kinds of videos out. You can't always see a bird, but if you know it's call you can identify it sight unseen. I can rarely see the acorn woodpeckers that frequent the hill above our house that's covered in oak trees. But I always know when they're up there because of their unique voices & calls. I am hoping my tree swallow family returns to the nesting box on the shady side of our house. We didn't put it up until June last year, but immediately swallows moved in and successfully raised 1 brood. I put it up in late March this year, so I'm hoping they'll be back, with enough time to raise 2 broods. When I was 3 years old there was a little tree swallow that came to my window every morning. It would perch on the windowsill while I talked to it from the other side. It would stay for a while too. . It did that every single morning for the 6 months they were here (March-September), for 3 whole years. My mom took a picture of it, and they even ran a story about it in the local newspaper. It was very sweet and very special. I was so pumped when my most favorite bird in the world made our nest box home last year. I shed big crocodile tears of joy!!! 🐊😭❤❤🐦❤❤😂
Beautiful blue shading, first time watching this pretty bird……Do you ever come across a bird, that you are not aware of their name? How do you research the name? Which resource do you use for your information?

Man that's lucky. I've seen lots of them flying by the wetland near my house, but never ONCE did they land on anything for me to take a picture of.
*Sweet sound of this bird on this day and the glimmer of the feathers are most magnificent*

Very beautiful, could you send me a couple to my back yard ? and I'll send yuo a couple of Colibri 😀
Didn't even know they would sit and do that. All the ones I see are always on the wing. 😉
He is defending his territory and nearby nest box. BB
@@MyBackyardBirding: I hope he was successful. Ours lost out easily to the House Sparrows. 🤥
