I was wondering if you could also write in the comments about good candidates for bras. I figure this would be on the quality pieces of clothing list and would love to have dome ideas from someone who is more familiar with it. I am a b cup if it helps. Thanks and sorry if it sounds weird.
I recognize that under armor water bottle.... I've had several and end up having to throw them out. They work well, but I swear I couldn't wash out the taste of soap from them after washing it once.
Guildbrook Farm - Off Grid Living Brilliant! I do not carry a gun. I am, however, glad you do. May you or someone as sensible and grounded be around me in case of SHTF 🙏🏼.
From another Jamie, thank you for your reasoned, rational approach to personal safety and preparedness. You don't have to be a "prepper" to learn tips on keeping yourself safe.
Hi there I just saw this today but I am so so proud of you for being safe and prepared out there as a woman…..I wish more women think they you do ….thank you for sharing….
I'm in Texas. I am licensed to carry. My chosen conceal fits nicely in a small purse but I also have a bra holster (yes it's a real thing and I can wear a short sleeve shirt and still no one would notice). I am more comfortable going to a gun show here in TX than going to a public venue like the movies. When responsible people carry there is no fear. It's when nut jobs are carrying then there is a problem. Oh love the video and I have also be compiling a ladies version of an edc or get home bag. There are not many for us in YT so I appreciate this and all your other videos.
I love how your edc bag is minimal. I've watch other edc bag videos and they have so much stuff in theirs. I am a 25 yr old woman and i carry a backpack purse. In my backpack purse I carry my wallet, phone, keys, 2 sanitary pads, 2 panty liners, lip balm/chap stick, flushable wipes, Advil, Tylenol, hand sanitizer, lotion snacks, water, multitool, band-aids, a pen, portable charger/power bank, and a sweater/cardigan
Great content! Thank you for this. I'm a man and all of your points do apply to us. Being Canadian, carrying a weapon is out of the question here but your comments reflect what we all think about gun safety. So thank you for your generosity and ideas. They are awesome :)
Jaime, I always appreciate your good advice and method of delivery. I've learned a lot from your channel and feel like my family is now more prepared for emergencies because of some of the information I've gleaned from you. I also appreciate your responsible words when it comes to gun ownership.
Always nervous when people carry their firearm in their bag and not on their person. I have carried for 20 years and only needed it three times. Those three time happened in seconds not minutes. I practice my draw as well as my aim. In real life bad things happen in the blink of an eye.
Great, informative video. Thank you for expressing your wise and sensible take on gun use and ownership. I grew up in a hunting and fishing family where guns were just a natural part of life. People need training and background checks. I fully agree with what you said. Excellent.
Love the Prepper series. When it comes to organization, efficiency & concise presentation, you two are immaculate! Thank you for a very easy-to-navigate channel.
Update!! Just got my Amazon shipment of the PrAna pants....OMG!! These are exactly what I have been looking for! They are so DANG comfortable!! Just went through my closet and donated 15 PAIRS of WALMART pants!! I can't THANK YOU ENOUGH JAIME!!
Hi. I am actually really glad I found this video. Ive been looking for a female who share the same interest like I do. I like how those pants that can convert into shorts. Thats pretty neat. However, Im just wondering how many pockets does your shorts or pants have? Do you also have items in order to filter water in your bag? I think that would come in handy for your water bottle as well. I agree with the jewelry and just keeping your clothes as simple as possible. I own a lot of black clothing in my closet and Im totally fine with that. I would recommend vaseline and cottonballs to start a fire. It really does the trick right away. I have so many suggestions on starting a fire to keep you warm. Two is one and one is none. I just wish you had a bic lighter in your bag or something. You might also need a pepper spray just for back up and also tactical pen. Special training in using firearms and combat training and acquiring basic medical skills might come in handy as well and it fits just right for EDC. I would recommend bandana as well in your bag as well as some band aids and neosporin and insect repellant. Thats just my opinion. I would like to help other people out with this information. Thank you for this vlog. It really made me realize I was not the only one interested in EDC and prepping and tactical stuff in general. Something that actually makes sense and that matters.
RIGHT ON about the shoes! I JUST got a new Maxpedition Gyrfalcon Backpack for my GHB. The next day I bought a NEW pair of GOOD Hiking Boots. These boots are in the back of my vehicle right next to the Pack. If something happens, I don't care if I'm wearing a suit-the BOOTS are coming into service! I'm ALSO going to have a pair of Heavy Brush pants I can change into. Like you, I prefer darker clothing, and the Brush pants will offer me MUCH greater protection from the elements. I'll also be getting a really good Coat very soon. Though these items won't fit into my pack, I keep them right next to the pack, so I can change into appropriate clothing if and when something happens.
Another thing I learned living outside NYC and traveling the world, was to keep the purse straps short enough so that you can hold it against your body with your upper arm. It makes it much harder for people to reach in to the clips/clasps/zippers without your noticing.
I have bandaids, antibiotic cream and Tylenol in my EDC. I don’t carry a gun but I’m very comfortable with a crossbow, a compound bow and a slingshot. So I have a slingshot lol. Probably weird but hey.
It's my goal to have my grandkids see this video. We teach the importance of preparedness beginning at age 5. Yes, I think it's important to know what to have on a person even if it's just a trip to the post office, local grocers etc... you never know what can happen and it's nice to have a comfortable way home even if your forced to walk. Always protect your belongings even if minimal. It's sustainability and one is never too young to learn, but comprehension makes a difference. Vechicals break down and the world is unpredictable and I'd feel they were safer in any situation if prepared for the unexpected. I hope everyone thinks on their situations and teach their little ones as well.
Thank you for this. It came at the perfect time for me. I've been farming in some degree all my life (it's just the way people live where I'm from) but I'm new to prepping. Keep up the prepping videos especially the ones geared toward women.
Just misplaced my wallet for the very LAST time today!! Just got home & ordered the Pacsafe Metrosafe GII Shoulder Bag! Can't wait to get it! Then I checked out my wallet and realized I have the Pacsafe RFIDsafe V250 Anti-Theft RFID Blocking Travel Wallet!! BEST wallet I have ever had and it holds SO much! Thank you so much for all the great information! YOU ROCK! :-)
Finally! Someone else is concerned about purse security! I usually choose a purse that has some sort of anchor point I can use a small key lock to secure. I like your purse a whole lot
First aid kit I take it is in the truck. I wear a safety vest about 50 hours a week due to nature of employment but now carry one in the car so if have to leave the vechile for changing tire, walking, etc can be seen in both day/night. I recommend this as you prefer dark clothing Headlamp is a must, a recent release from Nitecore is the NU20, same features as the TIP with same $30 pricetag, rechargable designed for runners/hikers. Very impressed with my first one and will pick up two more, need to add one to med kit as well. For me a watch and SAK are must carries. Have a Juice KF4 (retired, discontinue model) but seldom used as the retired SAK Harvester (has a pruner blade instead of can opener) covers almost all cutting tasks I need. Most cuts are draw cuts and the pruner, haskbill blade just shines.
I love your purse...it's my kind of fancy! I carry a Sig Sauer 9mm. I love your channel. Lots of great information, practical stuff for preppers and those that just have big families too. We are just starting our journey and really enjoy the information you share.
Hi Jaime, sorry for spelling your name wrong last time, I am just writing to let you know that I have bought my bag and purse and I'm loving it :) thanks for sharing your video, I hope all is well with you all, take care Babs :)
Great video Jamie! I have a small fanny pack with my basic EDC. It's in my vehicle but watching this makes me realize it should be on my person...and needs some tweaking. Also I am inspired by your minimalist wardrobe. I'm in MN so a bit different but the simple is best approach always works! I love that your channel is a mix of topics- animals, canning, preparedness, building items- all are important to any homestead. And your new format is wonderful, with diff topics on diff days and yes, shorter is better for most of us with busy lives. So happy to have found your channel and be a subscriber!
Really enjoyed this video. I so agree with you about shoes. I buy the same shoes (Eco brand] every year and wear them year around. I can walk for long distances and be comfortable.
Just found your videos this morning and subscribed after watching the first two, but still wasn't 100% onboard until you pulled out the Kimber. LOL Thanks for all the great information, and THANKS for posting the links to the items you mention in the vids. I am always amazed at how many of this type of video I see where they never think to do that. Outstanding video, even without the 45 cal. :-)
I’m thankful that you are open and talking about the guns, and responsibility and awareness. It is horrific when a gun ends up in hands that should have never gotten it. Those who want to be prepared pay a high price for every idiot that misuses a gun. Thank you from a daughter of a 30 + year Law Officer at the highest, dangerous levels. I want my guns, want the right people to have them, however I want those same people training regularly and sharing the importance of staying trained, using precautions so that your gun isn’t stolen or left in the wrong place setting up tragedy. Best of luck to y’all
Personally I have a S&W 637 .38+P that I love. Very accurate for such a small gun. The only limitation is only 5 rounds. However with a bit of practice with a speed loader solves that. Plus a revolver is just about infallible when it comes to malfunctions.
I just order both the messenger bag and the wallet! Thanks so much for sharing! I have never been one to wear jewelry or carry a purse but that cross body messenger bag looks awesome. We also bought a couple of Go Pro Cameras (so I will video and share the arrive of my new EDC when it arrives). Jamie & Jeremy my husband and I have found your clips to be amazing, informative, and INSPIRING! We have been binge watching for the past 3 days since I found your channel and though we are newbies to youtube we are gonna give it a try and share the upcoming chapter in the story of our lives as we go Off-Grid & Under Ground.
Thank you for the info on that bag! I like the attached wallet, sometimes I get scatter brained. I saw an article about a lady going through security at an airport and got pulled aside for secondary screening.. When she got back to her purse her money was gone but a TSA agent had a wad of money in his shirt pocket. They watched the security video which showed him taking it. He might not have had time to take it if she had this bag and he had to get through a couple of those security zippers!
I have several bags from ebags, that are pacsafe, LOVE them!! They have so many practical features and pockets so you can organize the interior and not have a wallet etc. you can organize all within the bag.
I just watched this video for the second time, I now live in Philadelphia and am going to buy the bag and other things I need to carry in case of an emergency. I carry an emergency blanket, bandaids, pens and paper, etc. I like the attached wallet, there are so many times I will put my wallet down when paying at the store then walk off to put my groceries away, leaving my wallet on the counter. I prefer one that I can stick in my pocket instead. I carry snack bars too usually the generic ones. Thank you for all of your advice.
Love love love this video. I am moving to our homestead in June 2018 and trying to figure out best option to carry. I have small hands and I'm not very strong...so, it's pretty frustrating trying to find something I am able to operate comfortably. Thank you for taking the time to share a path of life we are moving towards..
It's always odd running into the weird culture shock of seeing someone just randomly pulling a handgun out of a purse lol. Here in New Zealand handguns are pretty rare. I was just sort of mentally ticking off each aspect of your kit going "ok, have that, have that, that's a pretty good idea, where do I *get* one a them? SUDDENLY GUN!" lol. That said, your rationalizations around the subject made a great deal more sense than what I generally hear about the whole concept of going armed. Thank you for this video, it was definitely helpful :)
Here in Texas, EDC (every day carry) always refers to guns. So I was surprised that the video was about everything else except guns. (lol.) Thank you for being open-minded about it. In my circles, it's understood that carrying concealed keeps everyone safer. As another commenter said, it's only when the nut jobs get a gun that things go sideways - and when it does, it's always highly sensationalized in the MSM for political purposes. Thanks again for so graciously considering another perspective.
Hehehe funny ive been carrying some things i need to update glad i saw this even today 3-17-20 i have the mag rod and life straw thanks more family listening now ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great video, Jaime! One doesn't even need to be a prepper to make use of all of those items. Just a smart way to live. Common sense gun ownership... so glad to see I'm not the only one that feels that way. Peace ~Lisa
Thanks Jamie for showing this bag, I love it and will be buying one shortly, I'm disabled and it would be very handy to keep all the stuff I need in when going out. My husband has bought me a few items so I can keep it all together (survival items) lol :)
I appreciate this video so much!! Especially your PSA about guns at the end. I’m definitely a supporter of the 2nd, but I believe people should be safe about it. Thanks for such a comprehensive video.
Jamie, l live Northwestern Pennsylvania and love your EDC bag!!!! I have camo galore and 15 tattoos and daughter wants her 1st tattoo and it to be a mother daughter tattoo on the top of her foot with me I laughed!!!! one of the most painful spots but I said yesterday yes I'll get it...my addition and love doing tattoos also, have to finish son's firefighter tattoo! you rock gal!!!👍👍👍👍
Jaime, your share value multiplied exponentially upon producing the 45, but I hope you usually carry it on you, rather than in your purse. I know, a subject for a different video. Keep up producing great vids!
Thank you for the heads up on the bag and showing me there will be room in it ..for my Rugar lcp9 ..permit to carry as well as other necessities. I will be ordering one. Thanks Jamie.
and that you carry a loaded gun - yes! Agree with all the safety information regarding weapons as well. during a true emergency people get nasty, they won't take advantage if you're armed.
Yes! Great video Jamie. I don't usually carry all of that on my person, but if it's not in my purse it's in a purpose-filled crate in my car - never more than a few hundred feet away if I'm in a public space. Going to check out those Quest bars, I don't think I've seen them out here in the PNW.
They started carrying them at Walmart and Target (in addition to Amazon). May want to try there. They taste better than any other ones I have tried...and I tried a LOT
Jaime, Thank you so much for this video! i purchased your Pacsafe but it was just a little too small, returned it and purchased the next size up (Pacsafe Metrosafe LS250 Anti-Theft Shoulder Bag) I absolutely LOVE IT! I will never purchase another pocketbook again!! next are those pants! Just went camping over the long weekend and thats all I could think about, wish I had them! Ordering them today! I'm slowly purging my closet and getting better, more sensible clothing!!
I just checked on Amazon and with PrAna (the company) and they don't make them anymore :-( So I'm gonna try these instead....Nonwe Women's Outdoor Water-resistant Quick Dry Convertible Cargo Pants. So sad!
Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living thanks Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living thank you Jaime. I saw this one before and called them and this is the new slimmer fitting style☹️. I'm gonna try it though! 👍🏻
Thank you darling, I am 72 yrs. young I just wanted to make sure I was still on the right track with everything. I don’t have any peppper spray should I?
I think I may have watched this so many times lol. I could just write stuff down, but I buy items as I go each time I watch the video lol. As for the haters 🙄 if they don’t like PewTube channels they can ignore or just not watch! Everyone has an opinion on guns and they’re usually all different. Love your take!
I liked your guy's videos before I found out that you all are gun people,,,,,,now I really like your videos ( : My Wife's carry gun is a snub nose 357 (she carries 38 loads in it, 357 rounds are just too much in a short barrel) Glock 40 for me.
Very educational. I have ordered a couple of life straws, and purchased a Swiss Army knife. I have always carried protein bars since I was working in remote areas like Browning Montana. I always carried extra cold weather gear, cat litter for getting myself out of a random snow situation. I ruined about a dozen protein bars because I accidentally left them in the car here in Alabama this past summer on a 106 degree day. Which meant it was over 130 degrees after an hour in the car. I carried bear spray in Montana for Bear and wild dogs. I also carried doggie biscuits. I used to go shoot at a gun range when I lived in LA, but I don’t have a gun now. My ex always said they would just take it away from me. I love the bag. I think that is excellent. I never carried a purse in LA, nor did I wear jewelry. I visited my clients in their homes just like in Montana and everywhere else for that matter. Compton and South Central were the most dangerous places I ever worked. But you reminded me that anything can happen anywhere. I wonder if I am a bigger target now at 54 with my rollater than I was when I worked. I don’t like the feeling of not being able to protect or take care of myself since being diagnosed with chronic illnesses. They have videos online about being able to protect yourself as a woman but someone should adapt that to disabilities to at least keep us from feeling like victims. Most of my anxiety stems from wondering what I would do in certain situations. Thank you again. You are very girly and yet very sporty spice too. I mean that in the most complementary way.
My girlfriend carries an RFI deterrant purse and in it she has a taser, flashlight, Leatherman Signal, pepper spray, KA-BAR spork, ferro rod, and water purifying tablets. On her person she has a Steel Will Apostate pocket knife, a Steel Will Druid 283 neck knife, Pathfinder 32oz water bottle, paracord survival bracelet, suunto watch, 511 tactical boots and pants, blackhawk belt, and a tactical pen
I have a carry pouch also. The Kimber semi auto is a great self defense weapon,I carry a Walther PPK 380 ACP Hydro Shock rounds...Enjoyed your video...NC here to...lol

Best bras I ever found were Hanes Get Cozy sports-bras at Walmart for under $7 :0)
Thank you!!! And the price is right as well!!!

I think you are my favorite female survivalist so far on UA-cam because you make the most sense
I'm changing the way I do EVERYTHING from this video thank you so much😋 i especially love the bag. But I always carry on my person.
I'm glad to see a practical woman come out with EDC from a woman's perspective.
From another Jamie, thank you for your reasoned, rational approach to personal safety and preparedness. You don't have to be a "prepper" to learn tips on keeping yourself safe.

In today's American gun climate it is really encouraging to see a life long gun owner/enthusiast advocate sensible gun ownership ideals.
The only "sensible" way to own a gun is too keep it on you at all times with a round in the chamber 👍
Great, informative video. Thank you for expressing your wise and sensible take on gun use and ownership. I grew up in a hunting and fishing family where guns were just a natural part of life. People need training and background checks. I fully agree with what you said. Excellent.

You can always find ammunition 💕
I wish there were more women like you in this world Jaime. You are truly one in a million. Well more like one in 10 million. ;)
Don't worry SDmacman there are tons of crazy chicks that should not have guns.
That messenger bag is awesome. And I totally agree with the way you think about guns.

Thanks for watching :0)
Very smart, and very practical!

Love the vid! Would be awesome to find more woman in Canada that think and feel the same way..... We need more prepper Canadian ladies!!!
Really informative, and entertaining as well. A nice, easy-to-follow style, at a good even-paced speed. Very easy to follow.
Awesome video! I'm a newbie in starting a female pepper edc. Many Thanks! 🏡 🙆 💖
Thank you for sharing some really good tips and ideas. I always say "its better to be prepared" for things that could happen.
I love the pacsafe bags - I've been looking for something like that and will be ordering one. I appreciate your level headed approach to prepping.
Very practical and thorough. Thank you!
very glad you put all resource info in the description.

I want my guns, want the right people to have them, however I want those same people training regularly and sharing the importance of staying trained, using precautions so that your gun isn’t stolen or left in the wrong place setting up tragedy. Best of luck to y’all
Was going to ask "where's your gun".......glad I watched the whole vid! The Kimber is an excellent firearm.....good job!
Personally I have a S&W 637 .38+P that I love. Very accurate for such a small gun. The only limitation is only 5 rounds. However with a bit of practice with a speed loader solves that. Plus a revolver is just about infallible when it comes to malfunctions.
rex woodcutter but a kimber around 1000 to 2000 bucks
Just started doing this recently...but im adding solar power banks/solar charger pads to my everyday carry.
I have had a northface pair of shoes, I have worn every summer, for 7 years. They make great shoes.
The bag is really well thought out. All of their products are.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your experiences!
LOVE this video!!! Thank you for this very important information.
You have great stuff, love your bag, I'm going to look into it, great video
Love love love this video. I am moving to our homestead in June 2018 and trying to figure out best option to carry. I have small hands and I'm not very strong...so, it's pretty frustrating trying to find something I am able to operate comfortably. Thank you for taking the time to share a path of life we are moving towards..
Thanks for watching and hanging out with us! Our way is just one way...there are many! ..and you will figure out what is right for you :0)
It's always odd running into the weird culture shock of seeing someone just randomly pulling a handgun out of a purse lol.
I've been packing my bag like a preper this whole time. I even have a swiss knife (which is pretty cheap, I need a new one).
Hehehe funny ive been carrying some things i need to update glad i saw this even today 3-17-20 i have the mag rod and life straw thanks more family listening now ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
LOVE to hear common sense gun safety in EDC videos!
lmfao
I’m glad I came across your channel.
Thank you, great stuff to think about.
I even didn't know there are so great anty-theft things! Brilliant. I know now what gift my husband should give me for my nearest birthday :)
Thanks Jamie. Loved it
Outstanding videos, you guys do a great job, very down to earth and very informative!
I love Larabars. I keep them close for me and my boys to save money, not stopping and buying snacks or other food. 💛🖤💛
Great video, Jaime! One doesn't even need to be a prepper to make use of all of those items. Just a smart way to live. Common sense gun ownership... so glad to see I'm not the only one that feels that way. Peace ~Lisa
awesome, my kind of style, love that bag and wallet, I think I know what I want for Christmas this year.
Thanks for this information. I know people will scoff, but these times demand knowledge, thank you.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
I keep my old shoes also in my home prep. We typically throw old shoes out but in a shtf they can be continuously used or bartered with.
Thanks Jamie for showing this bag, I love it and will be buying one shortly, I'm disabled and it would be very handy to keep all the stuff I need in when going out. My husband has bought me a few items so I can keep it all together (survival items) lol :)
+Babs 👍🏻😊
The inventor of Qwest Bars grew up in my neighborhood. I went to school with his parents. His mom is a dear friend of mine
Great video and great EDC bag. Thanks for sharing 👌🏾👍🏾
Absolutely love all your videos, after finding you, now I am going through all your old ones.
Love that messenger bag. I love that video would like to see more like that
I carry almost the same stuff but I got to get me that bag, that's awesome!!!! I have a 44spl hallow points too! great video 👍👍👍
Went and ordered myself a Pacsafe bag after watching this
I appreciate this video so much!!
This is great! I have a bag full of emergency goodies that i leave in my vehicle! I need to add a few things thanks for the video! ~Trish
I keep thinking the same: "I need this, I need that" but with a limited budget and all...gotta be minimalist on some things!
Love that purse!!!!
and that you carry a loaded gun - yes! Agree with all the safety information regarding weapons as well. during a true emergency people get nasty, they won't take advantage if you're armed.
This was nice. Thankx. Will be watching more.
HAHA those pants are awesome. They are water resistant also ;0)
I just checked on Amazon and with PrAna (the company) and they don't make them anymore :-( So I'm gonna try these instead....Nonwe Women's Outdoor Water-resistant Quick Dry Convertible Cargo Pants.

Kathie...the short answer is YES! And also the Swiss Army Knife. I'm 69 and have carried both for decades.
Great video, love that bag will have to check it out. I carry lots of the same things, also from NC.
BWAHAHAHA! Sporks must be a chick thing ;0) Thanks for sharing!
BTW - I like her spork better!
Have not seen a clothes line in years. Nice
I have a carry pouch also. The Kimber semi auto is a great self defense weapon,I carry a Walther PPK 380 ACP Hydro Shock rounds...Enjoyed your video...NC here to...lol
Great info ! Thanks so much for sharing. LOVE all your videos.
+Startipper - 👍🏻 Thanks!
