If only they'd made a Three Stooges movie in the 90's, they could've got Mel Gibson as Moe, Billy West (voice of Stimpy) as Larry, and John Candy as Curly.
Get your facts straight, Gibson. You neglected to mention Shemp Howard, the third talented brother. I happen to think the stooge shorts with Shemp in them were pretty darn funny too.
Easy fella, he was just saying in the Curly shorts, Moe and Curly were brothers IRL, but not Larry. He knows full well that Shemp was also a brother. Mel produced the Three Stooges TV movie, and wrote the introduction to the Three Stooges companion book as well.
@@Sam-lm8gi Ok, Samwise, granted. Shemp, I feel, doesn't always get his due when Curly's name comes up. Certainly Curly was very talented (and by the way, Shemp was the original stooge, replaced by Curly. When Curly came on the scene, Larry supposedly asked Moe if Curly had any talent. "None that I know of," was Moe's response). Even Curly's own brother didn't know him! But I admire and like the fact that Shemp's brilliant talent routines were quite a bit different than Curly's but no less funny in my opinion. You probably knew that Shemp was really into boxing, and when you look at some of his shorts, Shemp would sometimes go into this complex series of feigning, dodging, and footwork like a boxer. Terrific stuff. Shemp was also the guy who came up with the legendary stooge eye poke. I felt that with Shemp's death in 1955 the Stooges were finished. The followups with Joe de Rita and Joe Bessemer were mediocre to say the least.
Also Moe and Curly had another brother who played in the show three stooges and his name was Shemp.!!!
Shemp was my favorite!
Shemp was before Curly.
Mel you knucklehead! Moe,Curly and SHEMP! were brothers.
Hilarious!! Thanks for brightening my morning! 🙌🏼😀
Fun fact: In The 2012 Three Stooges movie, Mel Gibson was at one point considered to play Moe but the role went to Chris Diamontoplus instead
Yeah. He was too old for the role at that time, so they looked for some someone younger.
Fun Fact: Chris Diamantopoulos voices Mickey Mouse
