I’m a Texas fan and decided to watch this presser after the National championship match and Nebraska acted like spoiled brats in their post-match press conference. Mad respect for Wisconsin and sad for the seniors on this team that they didn’t get the Natty.

No shame to lose to this Texas squad. It's a tremendous team. Skinner and O'Neal are extraordinary athletes. They're also the defending champs. Nebraska will have their hands full on Sunday.
I am a Nebraska fan, but I admire this Wisconsin team very much, they had an outstanding season, and they also beat Nebraska handily the day after Thanksgiving in Madison.

Every team is beatable when faced with tough serving and inability to return, no matter how big their block is
We all surprised just like the WI players. What happened WI? Wow. TX brought it with Halter and Phillips. Halter just deflated their hitters. Asija the slide queen. Skinner off the charts that USA Coaching helped them more than ppl talk on. Luv WI but they fell apart. Hats off to both teams. It’s the best year ever of women’s volleyball thanks to all the players and Coaches.
Asjia was hurt! The USA coaching did nothing she was already a beast! The youth showed with Nebraska and the height wasnt the real factor for Wisconsin. I said a fast and aggressive game would get them out of system and that’s what happened! They were slaughtered because Texas is always the most physical team year in & out! Once we beat Wisconsin down Nebraska shoulda known they were next and had no chance!
No regrets....heads high....great season with tremendous players...be proud....wait till next year

As a Nebraska fan, the only Big Ten team that really scares me is Wisconsin, so I’ll admit my preference was to have them play Texas…well, that definitely didn’t work out. Texas made both these teams look very average which is saying something. Crazy to think they were match point away from being knocked out by Arkansas earlier in the tournament.
It was Tennessee & they were a good team this season took Wisconsin to 5

I’m a supporter women in sports and we needs to have volleyball as a sport to go pro too ! It so much fun to watch them dominate the floor n for the first time men can’t compete with them
Not a big fan of what coach had to say when directly asked whether the problem was Texas or us. Our backcourt did not perform last night and the reason we won the second set was the block. Texas played great, but we should have at least been competitive.
C'mon, it's post-game and his team's emotions are probably already raw. What good does it do to say "yeah, we sucked" other than to make you feel better? Several times he spoke of Texas being really good and the Badgers not playing well.
I get where you’re coming from, he is protecting his team. I get I’m just a fan and he’s the professional. I think for me it’s about accountability, having to take some responsibility and saying you know what, they served and hit amazingly in the third and fourth and we (coaches and players) did not respond effectively. IMO defense and serve receive has been a weakness for us for two years and that’s something that genuinely needs to be addressed in the off-season. And he doesn’t need to sit there and trash talk anyone but some accountability would be good.
Class act saying that the other team played well. Not like the PiTT coach who acted like someone died during that press conference. I must admit I am not sad they lost. I was nervous about another matchup with Nebraska, they give them a run for the money for sure.
It was very sad to watch that WI players didn't have the chance to play in the 3rd round. Totally a surprised how the great players fell apart. The championship is done for me.
Hopefully Nebraska takes care of Texas for you guys! Go big ten! ❤️

Neither team will be overconfident but I believe in Nebraska's grit, unity, and ability come to come back from adversity. 1 and 1 with Wisconsin so everyone is beatable. Just that No stage too big for our Husker girls. Just the beginning of many more big time matches to come in the years ahead. I bleed Husker Red. Nebraska in 4 sets! GBR!

How did that happen? Wisconsin is a veteran team and has been steady and consistent all season. Texas’ supposed to be the up-and-down team. Did they overlook Texas?
That's always a possibility of running a 6-2. You have two setters to have good day of playing in a new arena. And when you are not passing well, doesnt matter if u have three hitters in front, you can only set the left side.
I think MJ Hammill didn't do so well. Maybe Izzy Ashburn should have been on the court for a 5-1. And Sarah Franklin were targeted. Maybe they should have subbed Franklin out in the backrow.
I think Texas surprised everyone. The team is coming together.
Texas was up. No down.
Franklin can do it all. She is amazing. But at her size i think it's hard to keep getting served over and over while you're already doing so much for your team. She looked exhausted.@@zackd2852
It’s clear Wisconsin didn’t study Texas they thought they were just gonna win it! Sarah Franklin was exhausted & that back court was so shaky! Robinson I knew wouldn’t be a threat or booth! I knew they was tall but slow! Run a fast offense to get them out of system and take off & that’s what Texas did 🤘🏽 Texas was just better tonight as I knew they would be! Hookem 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Sarah Franklin has carried this team the past few weeks. She is just steady as they come. But she was worn out being served to so much!
@@dbmac76 are you giving an excuse? As a coach you make adjustments when your player is getting worn down! We had to make adjustments to hit around that wall of a block he was pose to do the same but he didn’t! Even in the post game presser they was still shocked they lost! It didn’t dawn on them yet! That lets me know they didn’t study Texas to know how to play them! They had to answer whatsoever

@@kiaram8688 if we wouldn’t have made an adjustment and got blocked all night yall wouldn’t have said the same thing! The team as a whole looked exhausted honestly not just Franklin! Texas kept them on the move the entire night! They was behind the point! Robinson nor booth were factors and the things they did against other teams they weren’t able to do against Texas & their defense! Their back court was completely picked apart! They made Wisconsin look like Louisville tbh but kudos to ladies they played their hearts out!
@@constancebeckham8437 dude calm down. Wisconsin could not get a clean pass because the back row was lacking. The back row was Sarah, GG, Orzol, etc. This happened last year too. GG is not good at serve receive and Orzol is not a true libero. Anyone would be exhausted with Madi Skinner aiming at them all night long (Franklin)

The rotation of players for this team got the most of their loss. Sarah is not clicking as well with Julia and GG we now see the result.

I watched both this match and Nebraska against Texas. The difference is Nebraska and Wisconsin both build programs from within. Texas takes players to win championships . I would vote Nebraska and Wisconsins way to develop players within the program! Good job girls .
You need to talk what you know. Texas' transfer situation was out of necessity. After the 2021 season 7 players transferred out of the program leaving a huge void. Texas needed players to fill a roster so they went to the portal. Historically speaking, Texas has been known to rarely have girls transfer out. That year was an anomaly for Texas.
Nebraska took a transfer from Texas, and their best player is a transfer from Florida. Don't cast stones if you live in glass houses.
