Just got my first pc put together and your channel has really been to god send. Currently running a i7 with AIO water cooler haven’t really tested it out but hopefully it all goes well
Good Vid, I have used both Air & Liquid cooling with equal sucess, these days I like the new Liquid coolers because of the LCD temp display on some of them, I would think this would be a very useful utility.
I actually like the beefy look of big air coolers as it gives the impression that the rig means business. Another reason I felt discouraged about AIO's when building my first PC is due to people on Facebook constantly commenting on other people's systems about how they did not rotate the pump/pipes right.
AIOs aren't really any better than a good air cooler until you start getting to the expensive side. Your generic ones have cold plates that barely or don't even cover the CPU/GPU, bad restriction problems from cheap rads, or pumps with bad flowrate and/or lift and fail miserably in what they try to achieve. The big bulky air coolers, tbh though are just as bad. After Zalmann came out with the heatpipe technology.. there really isn't anywhere left to go with them that makes anything any "better" except better fans. And that goes for BOTH air vs AIO.. which is why you'll see Thermaltake, Corsair and Noctua at the top of either. (3 best fans out right now) Even high end custom loops are limited by their fan capabilities, though. There's a bit more to it when delving into custom.. such as FPI and coldplates and fins.. but at that point, you're really min/maxxing
Benefits of the aios aren’t meant to increase performance on the lower end he’s right but they are quieter, more efficient at pushing the heat out of the case because it pushes it right out instead of back into the case, and they are also if you want your pc to look more sleek. You aren’t going to get any significant performance gain from an aio.
I agree. I've been using a NH D-15 up until my current build, I run an Intel i5 xx600k with an overclock and the Noctua was good. Only reason I swapped to an AIO was it's slightly quieter., I did notice a very slight improvement on other component temps, I think because there's less mass blocking/deflecting the front to rear airflow. These differences are small though, they weren't anywhere near critical with the mighty Noctua.
I've always had air coolers, I might go with AIO in the future just for something different and try something new, but for me air works fine. Just got a new PC with an AMD 5800x and a Deepcool AK500 air cooler. So far so good, but you're not wrong when you say they are big, especially in a compact size case like I have.
One of the best straightforward and honest answer videos I've ever seen. Really well done. And keep being yourself, you're hilarious. So tired of all the "pro" videos out there that sleight of hand their answers to support their sponsors and put obviously better fans on an air cooler to try to "show" a different result and mislead so many people just trying to find an answer. Happily subscribed, and will be my newest goto video to give to people who want to learn. Very well done. All the "pros" could take a few lessons from ya, my dude.
This video is actually perfect time. Just got a new pc with a R5 5600x and temps idle at 55-65 while with cyberpunk it reaches 85-97. Thank you so much
I have the NH-U12A on my 12600k (it was the only LGA 1700 cooler I could get reasonably quickly the time). At stock, it ran at about 78C during cinebench, but after some overclocking the cooler got to its limits fairly quickly.
For me the Noctua NH-D15S (on my i7-5930K) because the second fan of a NH-D15 is not needed and onley produces more noice, faster fan speeds and no extra cooling.
Thanks for that. I have a 13700k and wanted to go full noctua build without having to cap the cpu but if you're hitting 78c on a 13600k, I think I'll stick with a aio.

i decided to get a 240mm aio cooler for my 12600KF, might be a overkill but it stays nice and cool at around 25 degrees idle and 35-50 in games (depending on what game it is)

I am thinking of doing one from a store but it is very far away from my home and I can't go there often with that complex and heavy system. They ain't loud, that's not the problem with em. The main problem with em is that they gather dust and loose performance really fast if you forget to clean em. Yes I am here in hope that you will explain the real difference between a good quality cooler and liquid cooling, like do I really need to change or is it just time to get a better cpu.
@@DarthJeremy364 just in case your asking me no I did not. The noctua nhu12s is a 158mm making this a somewhat compact but yet efficient cooler. The meshify c has a max cpu height of 172mm giving you plenty of clearance. You would need to be sure you have that 1 and not the meshify 2 to be sure. I do now have a different cooler I'm using and my nhu12s is just sitting in the box with a 2nd fan. Unfortunately my cpu Temps were a bit higher than I liked with a 5950x. Lol (new cpu)
I'm super happy with the MSI 360S Coreliquid. It keeps this 12900K chill even in 5.1GHz OCC. With my previous AIO (not gonna give names) I was hitting 69 Celsius with a 7960X NO OCC. With Coreliquid 360S I stay around 56Celsius with the 12900K@5.1GHz.Custom Water cooling is too much head each for me
Atm I'd give it to Air Cooling up to a certain cpu. Had a Air Cooler on my 7800x3d kept it at 72 on HD2 mid 50s on older games. Went with a 420mm for aesthetics/better cooling. Currently HD2 hits 80 still low 50s on older game's. Yes it's more pleasing on the eye with the AOI but the Air Cooler was doing the better job. Still thinking it over as I thought the AIO would/should of been better than my Air set up. May end up selling the AIO and getting the Air Cooler back in 😆
I would love to do a custom loop PC but I prefer to buy the latest hardware and my budget doesn't stretch enough to justify the difference in cost over standard top of the range water cooling such corsair offers. Plus I can't afford the risk of killing my PC due to water leak, not to mention the risk of electrocution if it was to leak.
I just got a Capellix elite for my new 11th gen i5. My first time using one, I just had a single fan on my older 4690 i5. If nothing else, it looks really nice, ha ha. Also I have it set up as an exhaust on the top of my case. If I ever decide I want to have my AIO set up as an intake I'll buy a bigger one with 3 fans and have it on the front of my case. Honestly when that time comes though, I'll probably do a custom loop and have one at the top and bottom (my case is a corsair 680x, so it supports fans on the bottom of the case as well. i looked at aio for a while glad i went air cooler. my fuma scythe 2 with dual sickleflow v2 rgb fans my 5600x at 4.7ghz never exceeds 45-50c in game, idle temps are 30-33c

Most people cannot plumb their own custom liquid cooling PCs. The AIO liquid CPU coolers were supposed to be that happy middle ground compromise. The issue I have with these AIO kits is they tend to fail just outside of 2 years just beyond warranty. I went through 2 Corsair 110i AIO kits, an Arctic and a Thermaltake AIO kits. Until the manufacturers guarantee their AIOs with 5 year warranties, I am staying with massive oversized air cooler blocks
I have the elite capellix h150i. Pump noise is ridiculous. Sometimes it sounds like the mini fridge I have running. Funny as I'm typing this, I look over at it and the RGB is froze on the vengence pro rgb RAM. This is actually not that uncommon. Corsair still has unstable software after all these years. I have a Corsair h150i, keyboard, mouse, RAM, and 5000d tower. I'm not going to pretend Corsair is perfect, but it's still much better than Razer. Update: not 5 minutes after writing this post, my h150i fans ramped to full speed. I looked down at the case and the capellix cpu rgb was off, like the pump had just turned itself off and the fans went crazy trying to cool it down. I pressed the power button to shutoff quickly because I started smelling something lol. All cables still plugged in, nothing weird. Booted back up and everything is running. Corsair software super-glitch? Never had a pump randomly stop working. And now seems fine, but will forever have me paranoid.
Update 2: The commander core that came with the unit stopped working. The pump is actually still working, but not detected, so iCUE just says pump failure and cannot change any settings on it. I moved the 3 h150i radiator fans to the 5000d fan headers so I could turn them to normal speeds. Getting replacement unit from Corsair.

I'm rocking AIO, but noises coming from the pump are too worrying for my liking. The Corsair Air Cooler from this video however, seems like it's almost designed for my p600s eclipse (anthracite), I think it would fit incredibly well.
I’ve got a 240 Corsair aio cooling my 580x mounted on the top of my build which is the best place as the pump should be below the radiator for best performance very quiet
@Pakman184 @James Macedonia I have the MSI Mag Core liquid 360r, unusual thing about this AIO is the pump, which is built in the radiator (weird). I can't mount it on top since it may drastically reduce the lifespan of it. I have it mounted in front with tubes coming from the top, basically the only possible way. Can't flip it, because hoses are too short to reach the cpu from the bottom of the case. It delivers this "rattling" noise from time to time. Can't do much about it
@@cr7madrid95 Yeah I was curious if you had a CPU block style pump and mounted it above the radiator, which seems not to be the case. You could try rotating your whole PC (keeping the pump not at the top of the loop) and let it run for a bit to see if there's perhaps a circulation issue
Just finished my first build and was disappointed when I turned it on my cpu was 100 degrees and I found out the intel stock cooler clips had broken - very frustrating 😢
I wish I lived in the UK as I think I would have bought my latest 12th Gen pc from Cyber Power and saved myself a Heck load of issues that this build caused since its inception....hint, hint, I basically built two PC's 😢

@@sprunknwn1981 Yea it was scary. The commander core stopped working, causing all the chaos.
Noctua NH-D15S because the second fan of a NH-D15 is not needed and onley produces more noice, faster fanspeeds and no extra cooling.
I always go air cooling!
Thanks
WHY IS THAT PC ENORMOUS
is your case the corsair 7000d case ,, i see it has 4 front case fans , i have not seen a case like your ,, do you know if they still make computer case
When you said you could win a pc I was over the moon but then it's for UK only so that sucks but great vid keep it up.
as long as it doesn’t involved any liquid would be best. i want to use the pc not waste my time changing coolant or tweaking the insides of a pc just so i can feel good seeing a couple of numbers go lower. the pc works for me i dont work for the pc.
Bro, I thought you shrunk when I saw you next to the pc 👀🤣
Big boy case
@@PcCentric 😂 you right
“somewhere in your chassis” haha :))
I can tell you are from England when it says "caller" instead of "cooler" in the captions, haha.
What is the name of the case in the video ? İ like it .
love your vids, can i ask do these competitions really work? ive entered and im from the uk,
Yes, by law they have to be real 😂
@@PcCentric thanks for the reply lol,
"why do you watch my videos?". Well your cute for one, and very informative.
What's the difference between hydro cooling vs water cooling? Do I need it? I just upgraded to customized PC with max specs.

This setup cost me roughly around $7600. Do I need a hydro cooling system?
Wanted to know how to refill an all in one liquid cooler. Can’t find anything about it.
I have a coreliquid mag 360, but im gonna move it to my sons pc and get the 360S with the digital screen
Got my cpu upgrade cooler today. The Noctua NH-U12A. Now that i have seen it... i hope i can fit it in the case :o Ends up rely Close to glass sidecover it looks like. Possible overkill for the older Ryzen 7 5800 (Not X) how ever i get tops of 85 degrees celcius just from 1440p gta5 online and world of warships.
Why the Intel still use screw pins is beyong me, instead screws on the plate...
I'm rocking AIO, but noises coming from the pump are too worrying for my liking. The Corsair Air Cooler from this video however, seems like it's almost designed for my p600s eclipse (anthracite), I think it would fit incredibly well.
Which AIO do you have and how do have the Radiator mounted in relation to the CPU pump?
Just did a build in that case. It's awesome.
I’ve got a 240 Corsair aio cooling my 580x mounted on the top of my build which is the best place as the pump should be below the radiator for best performance very quiet
@Pakman184 @James Macedonia
I have the MSI Mag Core liquid 360r, unusual thing about this AIO is the pump, which is built in the radiator (weird).
Confirmed Marcus pulls pc parts out of thin air 3:29
I dont have a compact pc but like the way low profile look. Any recommendations for that?
My Noctua Tower Cooler keeps my 5950X while gaming around 70 degrees.
0:46 you werent even on a phone call. i am so mad right now
Just finished my first build and was disappointed when I turned it on my cpu was 100 degrees and I found out the intel stock cooler clips had broken - very frustrating 😢
I wish I lived in the UK as I think I would have bought my latest 12th Gen pc from Cyber Power and saved myself a Heck load of issues that this build caused since its inception....hint, hint, I basically built two PC's 😢
when he said UK only -_- lmfao damn it man
Bro this pc is a size of a 4 year old 💀
Hey Centric, what desk is best for a 30 inch table?
