Honestly I've never heard anyone talk about eye safety with shadow pallettes or glitter. I wouldn't have known if I purchased before watching you Important info and it's much appreciated!!

Amanda went full mom on us about the pressed glitter 😂 that’s seriously annoying that they keep putting non-eye safe products in EYE palettes though...😒
Okay so dumb question then... What are you supposed to do with the pressed glitter if you can't apply it to your eyes?
felicity8881 That’s not a dumb question at all! I’m wondering the same thing, which is why it’s especially aggravating that they waste precious real estate in these palettes with things that can’t be labeled as eye safe!
You can put it in your hair, I’ve used it for the collarbone area. With Halloween coming up I plan to use it on my face but away from eye area (of course)
I've used them on my cheekbone for dramatic looks. They are great in hair. Or to do little designs on your cheeks. 👍🏻 It's definitely not an everyday product.
I do agree with you, Emma. My big thing is I have a few nieces I would LOVE to purchase this for. But I cannot in good conscience give them an eye shadow palette with stuff that could damage their eyes. Even if I tell them, it still scares me. Ugh rant over. I just really wish they would stop it with the glitters.
Fantastic review!! I completely agree that this eyeshadow palette is not my favourite item in this collection. Also thank you, thank you for standing strong on your stance with the pressed glitters! If they're not eye safe then they should not be in there, they're just a waste of space, such a shame.

I am beyond excited that they included Esmerelda in this collection!!! I bought the Esmerelda bundle and the Belle liquid lipstick because I love the color and I do like Belle a lot. Have always loved Esmerelda and the hunchback of Notre Dame! Really hope Disney comes out with more hunchback of Notre Dame merchandise!!!

Speaking of Disney warriors, they should have a Disney Warrior(Heroine) collection, with Mulan, Merida, Moana and Pocahontas. Not everyone wants to be a princess

I’m seriously so annoyed they put pressed glitters in this. And not just one but TWO?! seriously? I would have purchased this palette but definitely passing on it. I can appreciate it from far away. It’s just a bummer too because the glitter colors would have been beautiful as shimmers or satins.
I cannot understand why Colourpop would include pressed glitters. They do warn that they aren’t eye safe so what would be the reason for including them? Do they think that people would use them elsewhere as a highlighter? Yikes!
I was thinking the same thing. I wish that they wouldn't include the glitter in the palettes, its a waste!! Plus with the added glitters, it is making me definitely not want to purchase them!!

Joanna Kisses I’m glad you like them. They should be appreciated for what they are. Unfortunately, I won’t put my eyes at risk with a palette that has pressed glitters. Also, I’m not an individual who wears glitter on the body or face. The colors are pretty and they would look beautiful on you however you choose to wear them.

This honestly is THE most thorough but quick review of swatches I have found. THANK YOU because I am definitely someone that does TONS of research before buying makeup online. My skin tone can be super tricky in finding shades that work well.

If they can afford to put mirrors in all the blush and highlight compacts and keep the price lower they can afford to do the same with the eyeshadow palette.

I’m not a fan of pressed glitter or glitters in general but Kathleen Lights showed herself using the glitter from her So Jaded palette in her hair and I love doing that now! It looks so pretty and is a great way to get use out of them!
Such a beautiful look! I just purchased the palette and am really excited to try it out, after seeing this review. I'm not sure why Colourpop continues to use these pressed glitters, especially if they are not safe to use around the eyes. Hopefully they change that in the future, so that I can apply the glitter with ease without worrying about destroying my eyes lol. Great video
I was very excited about this palette and glad I waited for a review before I purchased it at the time of release.I think I will buy the new Lilac pallet instead of wait for the new HUDA Obsessions drop. Without the specialty colors, this palette is just a repeat of colors I already own. I don't mind you harping (lol) about eye safety, it is imperative that people are aware of any potential issues we could have with products we are going to generally "assume" are eye safe without a CLEAR and VISIBLE warning on the product. Yes, I do wear my seatbelt every time I get in the car, and I also go as far as make my passengers put theirs on or we are not going anywhere! I'm glad you harped on the pressed glitters. I bought all 3 pallets for my 8 year old for Christmas and we had to have a major conversation about glitter, glitter removal, glue etc etc. Also, I own the sweet talk pallet and it's not marked as not eye safe and there are 2 pressed glitters.

I personally don't mind the pressed glitters, I'm obsessed with glitter. But it's definitely an at your own risk thing and it makes complete sense to not want to promote doing something that has caused serious issues for people.

I'd rather hear Amanda harp about eye safety than hear that someone tore their cornea and nearly blinded themselves because they weren't careful when using glitter.

I wish the Spindle Wheel shade was a blue and pink duochrome to represent Aurora’s dress(es) but it’s still a gorgeous collection and I love Disney and makeup! 😍 thank you for always making great reviews, caring about our safety and doing simple yet colorful looks we can recreate for school and work!!

I broke down and bought Lilac you a lot simply because I am a purple freak and wanted to support a pallet that had no glitters. I wish Colourpop would just sell there loose glitters and not put them in their pallets because most people don’t use them.

Thank you for this video!! I love how thorough you are with descriptions and comparisons for us. And thank you for the rant on non eye safe things! I'm personally ok with pressed pigments in a pallette (when they're clearly labelled!) because they usually only stain and only some people have reactions to them, but glitter isn't ok! And ColourPop calls it a "shadow pallette" to further confuse the issue. I keep hoping they'll start just packaging the glitter as pressed singles or in individual jars to sell instead of right next to eye shadows :(

Loved the fact that you provided arm swatches with all the colors lined up. I agree with your stance on the pressed glitters. I really dislike how they always include these glitters in the palates now.
I just got a Juvia's Place palette with eye safety warnings. yet it seems like don't get slammed about it . Super excited to purchase this palette and I got two of the lip/cheek sets!
I have only reviewed one JP palette and it didn’t have a warning. I always discuss any non-eye safe shades no matter the brand. I don’t really think this is a brand specific problem, I think this is actually a reviewer problem. I haven’t seen anyone else really digging into eye safety issues at all, even in CP reviews. Most everyone I’ve seen either totally ignores the warnings, or mentions it offhandedly and downplays the dangers.

In my opinion they maybe shouldn't put pressed glitters in palettes. Single glitters I think are more fair game since it makes it feel more optional at your own discretion, and the warning will be more clear. Then they can sell it without taking up palette space.

Almost all reviews wants Mulan to be part of this collab. But ppl the theme is Midnight Masquerade. I guess Mulan just don’t fit in this kind of theme, has she attended a ball sort of thing?
