You have no idea how wholesome or wtf some of the romance can get and I don't want to spoilt it for you. You can firebolt on Shadowheart or Astarion to set a barrel or a surface of oil/grease/ on fire but I don't recommend using firebolt to attack an enemy unless you have good intellect on said character. The wizard needs high intellect to be an good caster. Warlock, Paladin and Sorcerer need high charisma, and Cleric, Druid, Ranger and Monk(elemental monk spec) need high wisdom to be good casters. Shadowheart is a cleric but that firebolt is not part of her cleric skills but she has it because she is high half-elf. Regardless of what class you are, any attack spell (cantrip) you get from being and high elf or high half-elf will require high intellect to be effective against enemies.

@@LifeCraftAcademy1 sacred flame is a cleric cantrip(spell that require no spell slot) that you can use. Just saying that offensive cantrips (like firebolt or ray of frost) that you can you can chose from because of your character being an high elf or an high half-elf, are more likely to hit on a character with high intellect. On Shadowheart with her default stats I would rather use an raged attack from bow or crossbow then firebolt because her dex is higher then int. Default shadowheart is meah, you should re spec her when you get the chance. Her cleric trickery domain (subclass) is not that useful unless you are trying to do a stealth run, but I don't recommend it for your first run. Cleric domains of light or tempest are really good.
