Studying by ESA the mechanics and challenges of satellite formations will come very handy for the LISA mission that will study gravitational waves and will require even better precision from 3 satellites

From the parts about the natural decay of the orbit, now I'm not sure if making a more permanent Sun monitoring mission would be possible. This capability seems very like it would be quite useful for long term monitoring so I'm curious if it's just due to the nature of this particular mission or if all such missions would have to be quite limited in their duration.

Nothing like that, considering the weight of the satellite, ISRO was cheaper options with proven track records!

Kudos to ISRO and ESA. INDIA is always amazing ❤🇮🇳

The engineering of Proba-3 is awesome.
I just watched the live launch of Proba-3 from Indian government owned News Channel. Why didn’t ESA bothered to live stream it?
Likely rights assertion by ISRO or India.
Because rights were with ISRO and they refused

ESA's missions are unique.
This sounds facinating! Good luck for tomorrows launch!
No sembra affascinante,è affascinante...👍🤙👏😁🤩💯
It looks like the launching of satellites in correct position is more challenging than making of it
With ISRO launching it, it was bound to be a successful launch.
6:45 such a beautiful dance, in an insane elliptical orbit 😚😍 hats off to the orbital mechanics and system design engineers
Congratulations for successful launch 🇮🇳
Kudos to team ISRO & ESA for this amazing engineering Marvel that studies the forefront of scientific discovery.

Quite a complex system.
I still don't understand how they are gonna block? They didn't show in animation.

Does the satellite maintain this 150m distance throughout its life cycle? Or does it have the capability to reattach back together?
Just curious.
When will the launch occur (at UT)?
It just launched successfully.
