19 out of 20 -- I'm 79 and grew up in the era of these cars. At one time I could tell you the make and model of nearly every American made car. The first vehicle I owned was a 1935 Chevrolet pickup which got 25 mpg (of oil.) My favorite car in high school was a 1938 Studebaker with suicide doors. Miss that old car.
I got them all too. I'm 82. However, a couple of these cars were very slightly customized. For instance, the first old Chevy pickup would have had the word Chevrolet in the chrome over the grill instead of just that blank chrome strip.
I missed 3. Those were in my neighborhood parking spots growing up in the 50's. Then from 69-72 I pumped gas and checked oil in all of them except the BMW's and that green turd at the end on the PA turnpike.
There is a classic car show in Carlisle PA every year and many cars took the turnpike. I saw so many classics and learned where the gas caps, hood release, and dip sticks were.
Born in 1945 I have been in so many of these models and I didn't miss any. My suggestion would be to make it more interactive, but it's fun either way. My son was astounded with how I knew all of the cars. I Loved it as it brought back some great memories. Thank you.
Born in 1948, cars were the deal. I've owned many of these automobiles. Thanks for the channel, love seeing the old iron. New cars all look pretty much the same to me. generic pulp. Alas, the hand of man doesn't set foot in the design studio anymore. Rolling art is a thing of the past except for a few builders. Thanks again. l
I'm 80 and I got 19 out of 20 right. I used to visit all the showrooms in town during the weeks that the new models were released. I would collect the brochures and study them at home. Great fun.
Only missed one. I’m 78 and my dad was a car buff…..we actually had a Morris Minor convertible. Also had a Hillman Husky among other gems from that wonderful era. He also drove Cadillacs most of his life…..works of art back then as were most cars of that time….
19 of 20 , At 75 , when I was a kid i could name all the cars , We even owned a few of these . Every year they would change the design ,so each one was distinctive , Very exciting to me .
Got them all, guessed a couple correctly. My father was a car guy when I was a youngster, 75 now, and he taught me all the cars on the road in the 1950's. On one trip with mom and dad and dad's mother I was pointing out the names of the different cars. I was 5 I think. Ma, grandmother, said "That's not fair, he knows how to read."
I am 72 and as a kid I use to make a hobby of knowing every car and year until 1970's I got a 100%. In todays world it is harder since they are not as unique as they were in the 50's and 60's. I miss that uniqueness of driving down the street not being able to tell the difference of most cars because they almost identical in body style.
I’m 69 and a car enthusiast since a kid. Love styling of these cars and taking note of yearly changes. Today they all look alike with minimal changes year after year. We have a 2007 Ford Edge and with exception of small changes it’s the same car today! I got 19 out of 20. Missed the Euro BMW.
Got all 20, but I always a car guy! Like Peter, I saw them all when they were new. As a boy, we had a game to identify the correct car by the sound before you saw it. I was always the winner at that. I still love cars.
16 RIGHT. Should have gotten more. I'm 83. Was nuts for cars back then. My mother had a 48 Packard that I drove in high school. Took my license test in my aunt's Crosley.
This is the first time I found this site. It is great! I only missed one and you bet I subscribed to get more quizzes! This is when cars were cars, not the cookie cutter vehicles that you see today. They all look the same from year to year.
The "1957 Chrysler 300" is, in fact, a 1958 Chrysler Windsor. No red white and blue medallion, and dual headlights which were not authorized until 1958. GFM
Sorry, but I have to correct you on that. The 1957 300 C did in fact have the dual headlights, so did the 1958 300 D .......both the 1957 and 1958 300s had the dual headlights and big triangular grill. The 1957 Chrysler New Yorker, Windsor, and saratoga had single headlights, but a much narrower and horizontal grill, and the 1958 New Yorker, Windsor and Saratoga had dual headlights and but a much narrower and horizontal grill. The Chrysler in the photo is most certainly a '57 or '58 300 but it's missing the badge.
The Fury was a limited-edition Buckskin beige two-door hardtop with Fury rear fender nameplates; "Sport Tone" moldings (with gold anodized aluminum inserts); bumper wing guards; padded interior; front and rear foam seats; back-up lights; dual outside rearview mirrors and special Dual Fury or Golden Commando V-8.
Closest I came to any of these in South Africa was a 1956 Ford custom. My Dad taught me to drive on one. American cars gave way to foreigners in the 1960’s
Yeah, 19 easy for me at 80 yo. Most I or friends owned similar. I personally owned the Bel Aire, 59 Cad, and Morris Minor. Also the Chevy pick up. Friends had Ford PU, Jag, Buick. I never liked the looks of the Hudson, Studebaker sir Nash, but I recognized them. Also got the Citroen. Guessed right on the BMW, but muffed the other foreign sports job. Almost nailed it except for that. Bet lots of folks my age did well. Lots of fun memories. Thanks!
A lot of guesses, but I am very very good at reducing multiple choice to a binary guess (3rd highest LSAT score in North America in 1978) ... and I was 'there and sentient' in the late '50s ... went with reflex, intuition, and fin styling, plus standard mark indicia ... scored 18/20, with 5 or 6 "Whews!" ... I doubt I'd ever get 20 at that difficulty level, 19 would have been horseshoes ... 18 is probably top of my distribution curve, so I'm smiling 😁
Born in 1948,I owned some of these,or knew people who did, just for your information,at 15 years old, when I started to drive,a bought a 1953 fordV 8 two door sedan flathead for 50 dollars in Chicago, drove it the next day to Toledo Ohio,to buy fire works for the Fourth of July, ran alittle hot, like most flathead V8 s,but at 76,still breathing!Thomas A.Filipiak
I got them all correct.I had to guess at two of the more exotic ones, but easily narrowed them down to two because I knew what they weren’t. I guessed correctly because I knew their”trademark” looks and designs.
I can’t forget that Edsel, when I was born in 1946 and by the timeI was 6 and 7 years old my Dad taught the makes and models of all the cars. The 1957 Chevy is a model we had. But I don’t know the foreign makes, never heard of them.

I also owned a Plymouth sport fury, an Olds Delta 88, and a Caddy, all of which were 1960 models….miss my Plymouth and Olds, good cars, and believe it or not, even though they were that old, they were also good on gas mileage too, but not like todays though, buts that’s here nor there. My Olds was like a tank in the snow, while my Plymouth had the speed and ran better in the summer when roads were drier…..they truly don’t make them like they used to though…😢👍❤️🙏🏼
It would have been a lot tougher if you had asked us to name the year, or even the model; the make was easy for an over 60 yo car buff. Edit: But then I second-guessed myself and missed the GMC 3100 truck, and the Ford F100!

Summer of 42; got 18 or 20; fun to see two that we had in Naples, morris minor and packard but different models. Packard had self leveling. Stepdad was navy officer.
I was born in 1945, and loved cars as I grew up. I got every question correct. I bet many kids from my era could do just as well. Doctor George Whitehead
I MISSED THE MORRIS MINOR I THOUGHT IT WAS THE FIAT BECAUSE OF THAT COLOR, IN THE MID 70S I DID BODY WORK ON A FIAT FROM THE 70S IT WAS THAT LIGHT GREEN COLOR, THAT IS ON THE MORRIS MINOR!....//// 😎
20 for 20 and all from the pictures....owned or had friends or family that had all the US makes and a couple of the foreigners...at 83 i've seen a lot !!!
When I was 16 my first car was a 56 dodge custom royal, 2 door, 318 eng. 2 barrel, power steering, Push button drive, same color red with white stripe.....

When car design was art! Being 81, I rode in and saw these neat autos daily!
I’m also 81, so, do we call this cheating😄
@@billdouglas2936 I'm 81 too
I'm 68 and worked on most of them that were American . My dad had a shop that later became mine . He was the best mechanic I ever knew . :)
I am also 81…I agree.
@@johnjay5143 IF YOU DO NOT THINK YOUR THE BEST YOU NEVER WILL BE AT AGE 75 I STILL PLAY WITH OLD CARS WORKING ON A 66 FORD FALCON AT THE MOMENT
17 correct. Missed the foreign cars which we never saw on the road. It was nice to see those beauties.
Yep. Me also, didn’t see many imported cars in Southern Oregon. 🤛👍🙏🙏🙏🦅😎🇺🇸
I am 79years old and this was a piece of cake! 20 out of 20
Same here. I'm 81
the Kaiser stumped me! I got 19
Good for you, but don't lord ít over us youngsters. I'm 78 and only got 19.
I got them all too. I'm 82. However, a couple of these cars were very slightly customized. For instance, the first old Chevy pickup would have had the word Chevrolet in the chrome over the grill instead of just that blank chrome strip.
I'm 82 and have been a car buff since my teens. I enjoyed this car quiz and got 19 right out of 20!
Me too ❗️😊
I missed 3. Those were in my neighborhood parking spots growing up in the 50's. Then from 69-72 I pumped gas and checked oil in all of them except the BMW's and that green turd at the end on the PA turnpike.

100% cause I'm old enough to see these when they were new.
Same here! My first car was a 1953 Chevy convertible, drove it with the top down even with snow on the ground!🎉
If you got 100% of what he said, you were wrong. The 1959 Cadillac is not an El Dorado as he says.
Born in 1945 I have been in so many of these models and I didn't miss any. My suggestion would be to make it more interactive, but it's fun either way. My son was astounded with how I knew all of the cars. I Loved it as it brought back some great memories. Thank you.
As others have noted, the '59 4-door Cadillac is a Series 62 model, not an Eldorado.
...and a lot of people are bragging they got them all right. LOL If they didn't notice it was a series 62 then they didn't get them right.
Yup, I thought that they had never made a 4 door eldo. So...18 is my score. I said wow, never knew they made a 4 door eldo. Guess they did not.
18 outa 20. Those beautiful cars really make me feel as antique as they are. My paint is peeling but otherwise ...
I got 18 of 20, i am 64 years old and live in Sweden, have always loved these old cars from the golden era since i was a little boy.
I am a little old lady of 87. I missed 4. That was fun!😊😊

19/20, I'm a 75 year old in England, my first set of wheels was a '59 Morris Minor van.

Missed one. That Hudson fooled me..Drove some of them and worked on many of them 54 to 92.
14/20, not bad I guess, considering I wasn't even born until 1970.
The fifties was when I learned to identify cars, but I only got 14 right. Some were way too exotic for the neighborhoods I lived in.
Nailed all the cars. Missed two trucks.
I got all USA cars except the last fancy Edsel. Nice quiz!
Toilet seat grill is the giveaway
Got 18 correct. Nice seeing these old classics.
Iffy on two butt guessed correctly, knew all others… thought you weren’t going to have an older Skylark but you did. Thanks
I got 100 Percent but I had to make educated guesses about the foreign cars-English German and Italian had distinctive but subtle styling trends.
Well I guess 18 out of 20 ain't too bad, I have a '57 Ford Fairlane 500 two door so yes I do enjoy the fifties cars.
Maybe the reason Cristeen was so pissed off was she was painted the wrong Color!

Too easy when you are a die hard old car guy. Got them all right but I did guess on the BMW answer for that question. Cheers.

For the first time in my life I got the 20 correct, I'm 74, Australian and a life time car nut..
2 wrong. Got many right by process of elimination. Being 74, I'd also seen some when new.
I scored 14 out of 20 on the multiple choice - but I have an an 'old dude' advantage!
This should be interactive so us old guys can show that we know every one because they were our growing up cars that we saw growing up
'Scuze me, but I think the '59 Caddy is a sedan deville.
That's what I said.
I believe eldorado came in 2dr only then you are right!
agreed

I got 18 of 20 right. Haven't seen some of these antique cars in more years than I want to admit!
10/20. Born in 1951. Female, so I wasn't as interested in cars. So I'm surprised I knew that many. It was fun!
18 of 20, age 68, some before the multiple choice some with the help of multiple choice. Missed the Studebaker and the Kaiser
