    Howdy Jason. Absolutely a wonderful capture of sheep in the wild and doing their thing! On the passing up the shot.... Maybe some , but not all hunters have had a similar event happen to them. Two years ago I did. I had a giant bull run down hill in front of me about 75 yards, stop and then turn broadside. I had my scope on him, but I could find a shot that I felt was clear. Ya see, about 20 yards in from of me was a small aspen shrub that had branches and limbs in all directions. I couldn't shift left or right enough to get a clear shot I was comfortable with. I had about 4-5 seconds before he jumped off the hill out of sight. So I passed on the largest bull elk I've ever seen, and I had him in my scope. I'm just not going to shoot if I don't know exactly where my bullet is going. I was really mentally messed up for a few months, but I know it was the right thing to do. I am glad your hunt worked out for the best!!!!! Thanks Jason for this fine video series! Later on Sir....

    That was some of the best big horn footage I have ever seen. I’m glad you didn’t force the shot on the first ram . Even though he was as amazing as he was. Rushed shot only equal two things. A good track job or spending all day with lots of regret. That was a magnificent ram you took , rifle or bow. It’s crazy cuz I have driven most the roads you were on and never saw a ram . I wasn’t really looking for them though either . Lol great hunt man keep them coming. Your a legend. Hero’s get remembered but legends never die !!!

    This 2 part series was amazing from various aspects! GREAT job. If you want other people to experience sheep hunting, then it looks like you're going to have to quit applying otherwise I'm sure you'll draw that tag again in 7-8 years :) LOL Nicely done JM.

    Someone just posted this on FB. Wow that is a beautiful ram Jason. Great video adventure. Never had the opportunity to hunt the breaks but have heard it’s a great place. Seems like a specie and area that would really tough to get a good kill shot with a bow.

    Can you tell us any info on age and such of your magnificent Ram?
    BTW, your videos are some of the best I've ever seen. You do such a great job of showing exactly what the hunt was like. Congrats!

      Thank you for the compliment! I really appreciate it. The MT FWP aged this ram at 6 1/2 years old although others have speculated him to be only 5 1/2.

    Why was Fish n Game drilling into that Rams horns?

      Every hunted ram is plugged with a piece of metal that verifies it was legally taken.

    What make/model boat is that? Looks a little more modest than most of those jet boats but I am guessing is still pretty expensive.

  • @danny29

    Can you explain what the game warden does with that "tag" he drilled into the horns?

    • @yotaman492
      @yotaman492 5 років тому +2

      It's to make the harvested ram 100% legal. Most states/provinces take measurements, age & tissue samples for records. Each ram is then recorded with a #, the plug has that # on it.

    Pretty cool. Other then the fact you were selfish enough to even put in for the tag when you were lucky enough to have the opportunity once before and were successful. Not cool. Known many old timers that died waiting for the chance to draw that tag.

      I hear you, that is definitely is the opinion of some hunters. Others say congrats and that they'd do the same thing. Always two ways of looking at things. Thank you for watching!
