Thanks for watching Mahendra! Still we have like two tutorials to complete this series! Today (4hrs from now) I will upload another one then tomorrow I will upload the final part! So stick around! Once again, thank you so much for watching!
I have the completed WaterGems tutorials for beginners. Please do a videos of designing water supply networks by importing a layouts from other sources like Google earth & QGIS. Thank you
Thank you for your well explained tutorial , I've watched it all and understood quite well. I do have a doubt. If I want my Pipeline on surface and I have the land xml file imported. Will the software take the elevation data from the land xml file automatically while drafting the network or I have to assign the elevation values manually just like you did ?
Thank you! Assigning elevation data manually is not an efficient way of doing things when you are dealing with complex projects! Back to your question, I am not very sure if data in "XML format" works the same as data in "shapefile format" if it does then there might be a few steps to make watergems extract elevation data from your XML file... Otherwise, you might need data in the shapefile and use the Trex function in watergems to extract elevation data right from your shapefile.
@@HydroinformaticsAcademy hello! I tried your advice but I couldn't find any tutorial regarding exporting of surface from civil 3d to shape file. My work mostly relates to open channel design & since it's a surface flow I always have to consider the surface profile before drafting then design it in excel. I want to save time, hence exploring sewer gems. Since, all the sewer/water gems tutorial have drafting on plan, for me it becomes quite a disadvantage. Let's connect and discuss it in zoom In that way I can explain my problems and we can solve this together.
Its all comes down to bernoullis principle! But in a simple way, take any headloss formula then you will figure it out why when V is high headloss is also high or why V is direct proportional to Headloss🙏
Super class
Thank you🙏
Good Video ,,,,,,,,,
