Good for you not to look at other reviews. It’s mostly just incessant whining about Blood and Cheese. I mean I get it, but once you’ve heard it one time, you’ve heard it all.
It was great hearing the Northern chime again at the start.
Not sure why everyone is freaking out over blood and cheese and wanting to see a kids head cut off?
Yes! I was so disappointed we didn’t get to see anyone’s reaction to finding out about Luke. I couldn’t wait to see how the dynamic with the greens played out.
Our ritual in our house is red wine and crisps. Finales get the special treatment with olives, bread and hummus on top. It started out with reading ASOIAF feasts making me want copious amounts of food and drink. I’d turn the page and see Cersei or Tyrions name and immediately get up to forage in kitchen cupboards
Emma D'Arcy said four words this episode and fucking killed it. What a performance. My fucking Queen🔥
I’ve only seen the show, and I’ve not read the book, yet this episode felt really solid for the season opener! ESPECIALLY the opening in Winterfell! That was so nostalgic. Over all I gave it an 8/10. I loved how we saw the rat catcher in the background of several scenes. That was so clever and foreboding! I was so tense and excited during the blood and cheese scene. The actors played it so well, and the direction was on point. I only didn’t like the Alicent/Cole thing. It just seems too out of character for them. And then I was only disappointed in the scene after hearing You guys talk about what really happened lol. That would have been so much cooler! The burden of choice between the two sons would have been so much better to see. I can’t wait for next episode!
Ritual: Sunday family dinner with all the cousins...and a lot of weed.
If Hugh was only going to be small part they wouldn't have given him that hair.
Why do people mention fcc regulations when ollys hanging in got and aemonds eye being cut were both way more graphic
Speaking of good acting: Jacaerys/ Rhaenyra scene, when J reports to her and his voice breaks - wow, this little bit really brought tears to my eyes

how do you feel about them still focusing more on the dynamic/relationship between rhaenyra and alicent rather than rhaenyra and aegon?
I like the spin of Alicent drawing Criston from his guard so Blood and Cheese could work. Don’t like that they didn’t make Helena choose between the son they didn’t cast and Jehaerys. I think we are setting up for Misaría to be Sheepstealer
As a new fan and non- fire & blood reader, blood n cheese was very affective for me 🤷🏻. That whole laste 10 min was v tense
I loved the fact Cragen mentioned that The Conciliator's dragons didn't pass the wall. How far into Aegon III reign do you think we will see? i was surprised they only showed the Strong siblings, Aegon should be around 9 during this time. But we haven’t seen him or Viserys yet unless I missed it.
