True that. However, if you want to fly over Dolly Sods, you can launch and land from Bear Rocks, which is outside of the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area boundaries. Most of these video clips were obviously taken within the wilderness area, but that may not have been clear to the pilot as the reg’s may not specifically mention drones.

This video sealed the deal for me! Spectacular. Headed there in Oct 2017 from Pennsylvania for 3 day hike. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're doing three days start at the top at Bear Rocks Trail and loop down to Red Creek and back up.
