Wow that sounds awesome, that place must look epic covered in snow. And I have read about the giant sledding hill there too. Must be some cherished memories, I am glad the video brought back some of those fond times!

I got pretty nervous heading towards the waterfall, at one point my voice even cracked a bit, lol. Even after all this time it is still hard for me to"'do my thing" when there are other people around. Not to mention the fact that I don't want to interfere with anyone else's experience in any way. Yes, Gator Falls that was a lucky find!

Yea I have to admit that finding that little waterfall really kind of was the cherry on top of an eventful day. Blackwater falls is beautiful but very popular so it was nice to have that little spot to myself.
Great video Walter, really liked how you focused on some of the seldom seen areas on the park versus just primarily focusing on the waterfall. Haven't been there in years but I think a trip is in the plans here soon.

Yea, I think you would like it there Jeff. There is just a multitude of recreational opportunities in that region. Dolly Sods where I saw you film at is only about 45 minute drive away, if that.

Blackwater falls is an awesome park. Waterfalls, views, alittle bit of everything there. I believe blackwater falls is where you randomly ran into wandering woodsman?
@@WALTERZOLNA yes that was a crazy day. Got lost getting there. In hindsight I would have never met the wanderingwoodsman otherwise. Divine intervention.

I’ve been wanting to visit blackwater for some time now, and now I realize there’s a lot more to it then I ever imagined. Nice video, and if I do get there I’ll be sure to search for “Gator Falls.”
I think blackwater falls would be a nice place for you guys to check out. Not sure how the RV camping is though. That's the one place I ln the park I didn't get to check out, the campground. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and good luck trying to find Gator Falls, lol!
@@WALTERZOLNA we don’t require much when it comes to a campground, easy access to trails and scenery is a big plus though.

I am told there a 4 waterfalls at the park: Blackwater, Elakala, and now I see where Pendleton Falls are. So where is the 4th waterfall? Also, where is the spot you found the secret waterfall and what trail takes you through the canyon? I saw a sign on a website and wanted to know exactly how the trail appeared. Still searching.
Last time i went to the blackwater falls me and my 2 kids got yelled at by a park ranger. A tree had fallen on the walkway down to bottom observation deck. I told kids crass the tape they had up. Park ranger said it wasnt safe. Told him if shit goes down ill save my kids or die trying...
It's a beautiful waterfall but access is really limited by that walkway going down...
