- After having to replace the front rotors, pads that weren’t more than a year old (rear drums and pads) $$$!!!
Having smelled my brakes while coming down mountain passes
And not having confidence in stopping in emergency situations in time
Enough was enough
Even with the Brake controller on full, in gravel the trailer wouldn’t lock up even at slow speeds
With the unexpected offering from Bill & Rosie to use their shop, I took full advantage of a concrete floor & creeper woot woot, I decided to go all in
It’s awesome to have interchangeable truck to trailer wheel/tire set!
Yes it is plus why carry three spares … 🙂
Nice advice for those looking, sorry you had to have negative to happen to learn this, way to go!!!!!
P.s 5 YEARS went fast!!!!
The BS installed bushings looked really great! They are made of polyurethane and are superior to any rubber compound that has ever been used for suspension bushings. In fact, your rancho shocks are equipped with polyurethane bushings as are all off the aftermarket suspension upgrade components I have ever looked at for vehicles. Granted, they may have their own name (I think rancho terms it as doura-crush if I remember correctly) but regardless they are much better than rubber. Great job, looks good and yes disc brakes would be a great upgrade. I'm going to run the drum for now on oil bath. - Brad
