Friends, If you see where he is headed you certainly appreciate Raj's promoting agro-ecology and blending farmers in rural areas with eaters in cities. I liked his pointing up how Brazil is incentivizing this and the kids in schools are getting to know their farmers and how their food is grown with more soil care (agro-ecology tenet) and less chemicals.
This is decentralization (in this case of food production) as prophesied my the Master Djwhal Khul of Tibet long ago. Rooftop gardening got a plug from Raj which is very positive for those in cities. They don't have the land space of those in the country but are in a sense, achieving elements of independence from food's traveling from afar via distributors. everybody needs to learn to grow a few things to eat for themselves, learn to sprout seeds, grow microgreens indoors. I aim to get those into my own lifestyle.
Raj is an excellent nutrition advisor with a lot of heart. He makes points directly and subtly which connote an understanding of the issues surrounding food and its supplies around the world, as well as an empathy with "being in the modern world" which is where most of us are. We need to make good food choices, to be practical as we improve our diets. We need to help others in third world countries to nourish their soil, eat lower on the food chain (plants). We need to help everyone everywhere get clean water to drink, grow their own foods and interdepend in their own communities.
Raj's accepting everybody's bodies as they are (large or small or in between) shows breadth of vision. At the same time as we learn and teach better health we love and accept each other, for each has an unique background. Love to Raj from us all.
