    My Daddy made sprinklers similarly, just the base was a complete square!! Everything else the the same thing. Small world!!
    Sure was fun playing with my son ,who ran thru them in the summertime afternoons.
    I like this design because it's more stable

    I spy a new picnic table, too. That corner of the yard looks fantastic! David has a real future in UA-cam work, I think.

    Here's that part list with two small modifications.
    1) I would recommend 1 ¼ pipe because you can use a PVC Pipe cutter to cut it easily and cleanly
    2) Pipe
    Using the measurements from the video (as best I could tell) One 10 foot pipe will give you all cuts with 8 in left over
    Cuts are 2 x 21 in, 2 x 12 in, 1 x 5 in and 1 x 7 in, the pipe up to the head is 34 in
    3) Couplings
    1 - 4 way connector, 2 caps, 3 - 90 degree elbows, 1 - Coupling,
    4) Bushings
    1 - 1 ¼ to ¾ reducer, 1 - ¾ to ½ in reducer
    5) Risers
    1 - ½ in 6 in, 1-¾ in 6 in
    Doing it this way allows you to use both screw in and screw on (popup irrigation sprinklers) for all the major sizes.

      Do you have a link to the reducer? I can't find one that's smooth to threaded. Either both ends are smooth or both are threaded.

    If you live in an area with high winds, landscape anchoring stakes can be fitted.

    • @BrieThePlantLady
      @BrieThePlantLady  Рік тому

      The point of this design is you need to stake it abd it is mobile for moving around the garden.

    Thank you so much, I am so tired of those Chinese tripods that are useless, they only work half a summer season and then just throw them away, Tractor supply is charging $75.00 just for one.

    That is a very handy sprinkler. Is there a drawing with measurements to it?

    A female threaded coupling in place of the cap on one of the legs with a screw in plug wound work on one of the legs to unscrew in the fall and drain the water. And it doesn't matter left or right hand the tape goes on the same. People just hold the tape wrong. Flip it over the next time so it's not unspoiling itself and have better control

    does filling those pipes actually pressurize them so you get more distance from the sprinkler?

    • @BrieThePlantLady
      @BrieThePlantLady  Рік тому

      I hadn’t thought of that but yes I think you are right! The reach is really far!

    It would be less top heavy if the stand pipe was reduced to 3/4.
