Those 100% Hot Wheels in the acrylic boxes have deteriorated rubber bands for the opening and removable body parts. The unfortunate thing about those is that over the years the rubber bands break down and the residue ruins the paint finish on many of these making the casting almost worthless. Not a whole lot of collectors opened theirs and what you’re seeing is where most of them end up. That store is AB-SO-LUTELY ridiculous on their prices. They won’t be around very long with those prices. Those Ferrari’s usually $3.00 to $5.00 a piece on a good day. It looks like the sliding roof is jammed all the way forward on the Studebaker Wagonnaire and will be a real pain getting it freed up. This casting originally came with a plastic ‘hunter’ and two Pointer dogs.
It's a vintage toy store, located in the middle of a tourist attraction area of Florida. You should see the prices on the other vintage toys lol. I don't think their store is going anywhere tbh. It's always packed.
Take a trip to the Summerfield flea market near the Belleview-Ocala area one weekend. There’s another just further north of Jacksonville. Pecan Park flea market. As mentioned in a previous video of yours, join a few clubs near and around your area. You’ll find WAY better deals and will make diecast network connections to help you with those HTF castings at reasonable prices.
Love that store. The older Treasure Hunts are ok at $5.00. I get a few like the Hammered Coupe. That 5 dollar a car case is alright, and it has Ferraris. At least take the First Editions. What you do is save up $100 bucks ,so you cab drop $100 bucks at that store. Definitely gotta go back.
Last time you were there I said the prices were fair and I still think that but only on the cars that are old and can't be found in Walmart or 🎯 cars like that Testarossa. And again, you have to remember that these people are a small mom & pop type business and they need to cover their costs to stay open, unlike Wally World and 🎯 that can keep prices low

Ferrari hunting is NOT for the weak of heart. I love the Matchbox Testarossa a bit more, I have one in black with the big prancing horse on the hood and a Miami neon tiger Striped beastie. And the scale on the base reads 1:59. Totally gaudy, but unmistakably 80s.
$18 for a Midnight Otto- that's a first edition kind of price. The Olds with the rubber tires is nice, but I bought an M2 442 precisely because of the collector price on Hot Wheels gets so steep.
That place is only good for hard to find in my opinion but for the mainlines you can still find some in the stores for retail maybe you can befriend them and talk some sense into them 😂

I did run up on a couple of the Porsche grand turisimo newer wave last night. I also found the new fast and furious set. I’m still on cloud 9 after finding my very first 56 ford super chase M2 .. I’ve never found anything like that before. This has been a weekend I’ll never forget. Hey just buy you one or two of those cars from that store a month and it will add up quick in the end!
