What happens when love, art, and ambition collide? Betrayals, soaring successes, and possibly redemption. In TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW three best friends create one of the most popular video games ever, only to find themselves at the treacherous intersection of art and commerce, where they are tested in the realms of their friendship, their creativity, and their very identities. Gabrielle Zevin weaves a gorgeous, unforgettable story.

ABOUT ME
Amerie’s Book Club videos and updates from Amerie, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and NYT bestselling author.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination. ^_~
I'm only halfway reading through this book, but I was so attached to each character, I WANT the story to have been real, SO bad. I just kept Googling Ichigo in the hopes that the game actually exists. I didn't think I would find a book with character-building toppling Sally Rooney's Normal People. I have a feeling I will be crying at the end of this book. Will definitely go back and check out Gabrielle's other works!
I am in the middle of it now and I was wishing for the same thing. I want it to be real so bad.
That book sucked.
Glad to have you back, Amerie 💖💗💞😍😘
this is my favourite book and i cried so hard and it's very hard to move on from this book 😭✨❤️ it's taken a piece of me and I've taken a piece from it too and i really wish it just went on and on and on and never ever ended
I love your recommends. I’ve read some of the best books because of you including “the Past is Red” cant wait to dive into this. I’m also a gamer so I can relate in that aspect. I’m intrigued.
I wish the author went into more of the minds of the people who are negatively affected by videogames
You sold me on this. I was hesitant to pick this up because of the gamer aspect but it seems like so much more. I love your recommendations!!
I didn't like to book at all. The gamer talk droned on and on. I've never been a gamer, so that was no big surprise. Sam was a pathetic character. I wanted to shake him and tell him not to have 'oneitis'. I did finish the book without getting to any award-winning story part and the parts people say are beautiful.
So much hate for gamers... I wonder why?
Loved that you said it reminded you of music groups because I felt the same way when I read it! It reminded me of Daisy Jones and the Six in that way. Also, all of the characters felt so dynamic and human that you end up caring about every single one of them which to me was reminiscent of Fredrick Backman to me (but also that might be biased of me because he is my favorite author). Great rec and I will definitely be tuning in for the IGlive!!
Elsewhere was my favourite book as a kid! I loved it 😊 I’m reading this for a book club so hopefully I can get through it in time!
Awesome! I’m a huge gamer so this sounds right up my alley - thanks so much for the recommend Amerie ❤️
"1 Thing" will be one of my favorite songs Forever ♥️ Rockstar did the right thing including that song on GTA V
I just finished this book & loved it so much I wanted to watch some commentary on it before my book club meets Sunday. I didn’t realize she also wrote elsewhere! I remember reading that book in middle school & I still talk about it to this day when conversations of the afterlife & such come up. Makes sense I loved this novel so much 🫶🏻
Thank you for keeping us reading.. you are a rarity 😇
Definitely need to check it out.
Hello Amerie, always great to see you. Greetings to the family. Thank you for the inspiration to get back on track with reading 📚. Be well 🙏
Definitely would like to get into more reading. Actual books instead of internet blogs etc. I have to check out several of your back log of videos of recommendations. Thanks!
I needed a new book to read, thanks!
Amerie, this is by far My favourite book I read this year.
This is my new favorite book! So good.
In the 90’s people didn’t think about cultural appropriation. It was called embracing and appreciating differences.
Looks like I'm going to the bookstore tomorrow 🥰
…and tomorrow and tomorrow
I absolutely LOVED this book.
Yes ma'am! 💜
I loved elsewhere when I read it as a teen. First book that ever made me cry. I had no idea this was the same author I might have to check it out then
Nice library 👍 Now, be more creative and discover your true inner self. 🔑
I've been hearing so many good things about this book and I'm excited it's your book club pick as it gives me an excuse to get to it. Excited to join along! 🌊💕

Awesome Book Review👊🏾
I love your lip color, and you did a great job on this review. I'm not disagreeing with anything here, just adding in my opinion. I don't think their "success" in gaming had anything to do with the dynamics presented, they could have easily had the same conflicts in the story through the lens of failures. You're spot on about the book's reflection on the ego and how there are parallels to the story that can be found across many art disciplines and different walks of life. Artists definitely do take from everything to spin up their own creations and we see it reflected in this book as a whole as it pulls references from Hokusai, Emily Dickinson, various games and media and more. Again, thank you for sharing your perspective on the book!
Keep it up hot momma great videos Amerie and great books!!❤👸
Amerie!! How are you honey? I've missed you !!
I need to start from the beginning. I'll be joining the book club. You look amazing 😍
Hey Amerie ❤️❤️💙💙
I like the title ☺️
Mmm hmm I agree! 💯👏👏👏 I also think that when artist borrow from each other, it's all good if they give credit for their "appropriation" appropriately or it's just not appropriate. More like Grimy.. yeah that part!👀😂 I think I'm really going to enjoy your book club reviews! 💯👏👏👏 Mmm hmm 😂 New subbie here for sure!💞😀👏👏👏
I guess it was meant for me to see this video today at 2 in the morning as I'm a gamer and aspiring game developer.
Awesome!
Wish to have the book you have don’t have money
I'm quite a ways through the book now and about the cultural appropriation part I thought it felt flat and flimsy. For one that character is Asian and plus with appropriation there is some power dynamic involved. Japan is a big part in the gaming industry especially in the 90s when the indie scene didn't exist. The main consoles were Nintendo, Sega, and PlayStation. All made by Japan and if you played in the arcades back then it was way more likely you were playing a game made by a Japanese studio.
Japan is well represented in gaming and there was no indication that was anything distasteful or misused in the game.
This was very different than say the Fortnite dance situation. That's just my two cents.
Hey Amerie.
❤ ❤ ❤
There’s more to books than just PLOT descriptions, though…
This reminds me of that facebook movie about Mark Zucherberg I wrote about in college
Maybe buy on audio
when are you hoping you collaborate with da brat and missy elliot on a track or either one I dont care that would be sensational
Is the title a reference to the play Macbeth?
Yes
Never Heard Of It
Amerie happy 4th of July ❤️🤍💙
Can you tell us what happened with you in the music industry because I loved your music and really wonder what made you stop ?
😪😔Think I lost my copy.
Isn't his name Marx? Pronounced woth the x ? I read the whole book that way 😅
Hahaha me too! 😂
Did you not want to say Marx?
This book is equivalent to cement for me. It was boring, dense, and lifeless. Idk why I didn’t grasp it as everyone else did.
You should read some Korean authors (English Translation). You're Korean. Your face looks Korean, just with brown skin.
Yes, I do read and enjoy Korean authors!
@@Amerie. You should read Almond. Btw, Amazing you replied. I am a huge fan since 2002.
Love your videos! But you can put down the book ya know. It's okay. It's straining to have ot hold it up all the time.
I want baby #2 from you and your husband and don’t hide them. Just use the evil Christian eye amulet 🧿.
Horrible novel. This is why I mainly read biographies & stay away from fiction.
🌹💜🌹#Amerie,I want to wish you a Belated Happy 🇺🇲Fourth of July!!! ****** Secondly,I want to Thankyou for putting this novel on the list in your 📚book club.
