I'm in love with metal in all its forms. I especially like the sludge/doom/stoner metal and traditional metal. I recently discovered the bands Wicked Lady, Witchfinder General, Pentagram, and these guys. I must say...it sucks that they never got publicity. I love these underground/not-so-popular metal bands. They are great!
Demons in my brain, lighting fires Driving me insane. I can't stand the pain, of my existence I can't live again 'Cos I'm walking, walking, walking in the dark. I can't see no light No point of reference, I'm giving up the fight. I've tried with all my might, I've been persistent, But it's hopeless without sight. I've been walking, walking, oh walking, Walking in the dark. Death's an open door, eternal sleep I couldn't ask for more. My spirits on the floor, I've no resistance Can't take anymore I'm walking, walking, Walking in the dark.
GREAT SONG. EVEN THOUGH IM 29, ANDBORN 1982. I GREW UP LISTENING TO THIS STUFF.. OZZY, LITA (FORD) , JETHRO TULL, THIN LIZZY KISS. THIS STUFF IS GREAT. AN AWESOME BAND. SHOULD TOUR WITH OZZY.
I had a dream witnessing this girl getting run over by a car, and while she was lying in the street dead this song was playing in the background, her black hair and pale skin reflecting the walk she had to take into the dark. I haven't forgotten the feeling that dream gave me, the vividness of people gathering and ambulance lights glistening off of the puddled streets gave me a taste of the wilderness of fatality. Something about the way she was peacefully lying there while everything else was chaotic stuck in my head. Every time I listen to this song it just makes me think of that dream, the tranquil chaos that is death.
In case you haven't noticed, doom metal is overlooked by absolutely everyone. I just learned that a hardcore metal fan- literally a major metalhead to the extreme just a peg below being in his own band- didn't know what the hell doom metal was. Really, could name every NWOBHM, thrash, groove, grind, death, power, black, and classic metal bands, but didn't know doom, or that metal could go 'slow' outside of Sabbath. Somehow knew Electric Wizard though.
These guys sound so Sabbath-influenced, and they do it in the right way. The more I hear, the more I like. Gonna have to get some Pagan Altar CDs soon!
Death's an open door, eternal sleep I couldn't ask for more. My spirits on the floor, I've no resistance Can't take anymore I'm walking, walking, Walking in the dark.

No worries, man! I appreciate it. I want to discover as many bands as possible, so you're no trouble, you're help. I shall check out Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats. I happened to have discovered Witchfynde a while back and that started all this search for obscure bands haha.
The main riff sounds like some 70's early 80's song I've heard and I can't place it.... like Skynryd or .38 Special, something along those lines. Driving me crazy trying to remember it or find it.
BBTAD will press a single containing this track, and Pagan Altar's 'Narcissus' (bonus track on vinyl edition of Mythical and Magical. Can't help with the Jex Thoth side, I'm afraid.

sarahpisces 0219 that was really cool. Thanks for sharing that
Do you believe in evil powers of rock n roll? Because it sounds like you're aware of them. Keep on rockin evil doer. 🤘
Interesting.
Sounds like a good music video/ movie cliffhanger idea. Often videos that have nothing to do with the song, or are even ironic are the best!
@kombatreaver mouz is that a video game?
you just cant stop listen to this song!
great song just discovered pagan altar

Demons in my brain, lighting fires
Driving me insane
I can't stand the pain, of my existence

But it's hopeless without sight
I've been walking, walking, oh walking
Walking in the dark
Death's an open door, eternal sleep
I couldn't ask for more
My spirits on the floor, I've no resistance
Can't take anymore
I'm walking, walking
Walking in the dark
Demons in my brain, lighting fires
Driving me insane.

It is, this is only 5 years old.
Actually it was not the Beatles who invented rock but I do agree that this is an awesome song from an awesome band.
Do you know when it's releasing?
If memory serves me right you might wanna check out ihate-records for the Jex Thoth part. Im pretty sure they released at least something with them.
No It Pagan Alter a band heavily influenced by Sabbath, well worth checking out more.
Good luck with your search.
It's been pressed once, and probably not going to be anytime soon. eBay is your best bet. I found my copy after 2 years.
BBTAD will press a single containing this track, and Pagan Altar's 'Narcissus' (bonus track on vinyl edition of Mythical and Magical. Can't help with the Jex Thoth side, I'm afraid.
