It also works great with the ties that come in the packaging. The clear ones with metal wire inside look like it's webby. I used to do that a lot with my Spider-Man and venom figures.
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. I've had this on my "to watch" list for like 2 years now for some reason and it suddenly popped up in my feed, so I finally watched it and I'm like, where has this been all my life!? So sweet. Seriously, looks great and the twisting you did really makes it look like a McFarlane webline. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing! I'll definitely be trying this out in the near future.
Thanks this really helped me. I've been trying to do something like this for years. I just don't understand why toy company's never did this in the past
damn I thought this would be hard... turns out this was super easy! and my webs look amazing but I didn't have access to wires so I used twist ties but it still works! but you just earned a sub
Thanks so much I love how it looks there is a hobby lobby right next to me and this will look great for my spider-man stop motion I will give you a shoutout in my video thanks again so cool
I personally don't like the idea of using wire...and I don't know why, I'm just weird. But that aside I really really like how this turned out. It looks really good.
@@FreeterProductions Absolutely, I am trying to find a proper wiring to try this, will try to recreate the Endgame scene where Spidey swings from Giant Man.
I'm going to use a combination of techniques from different videos to make a personally better looking spiderman webbing. For example another video put hot glue and paint on the end of the web to make a goopy bit, but in this video he just curves it to make the end which honestly is more efficient and just as good. But one thing that neither of these videos did was to actually make the starting loop where you put the webbing on the wrist around the peg of the wrist joint on a specific figure so that the loop is inside the joint when you peg it in, hiding it more. I did however take quite a bit from this video though so thanks!
I made some today ( before I watched the vid) and I see only one problem, its limp, I used just silver beading wire and it's not limp at all and has the silvery effect to it
Amazing!!! I love this! But, can someone help to find this wire? I have look for it in my town (Madrid, Spain) and in Amazon, ebay... and didn’t find it! Please, help!!! Many thanks in advance!
What do I need to do, If I want to make custom figures on marvel legends? Do I need a technique before and after painting tips? Cuz I just have tried to paint on figure with model color paints and after drying the paint comes easily off. Did I did maybe something wrong? Or the paints are not good enough for plastic? I want to know! Maybe you can help my out bro.
This is a GREAT tutorial, but I went out today to buy some wire, and they don’t sell it anymore! The hunt begins! I want to make black webbing for venom too.
Unfortunately they stop carrying the wire that used for now. If you have a dollar tree store nearby they carry something similar. It’s called the tool bench hardware wire set and it comes in both black and red. Using the black wire and then painting it white will give it a comic book look. Hope it helps.
Hey are there alternatives to vinyl coated wire? From where I live I cant find these, and twist ties dont seem to be good as they dont straighten out like that at all
There is an alternative. If there is a dollar tree near you they have a black and red wire that they sell in the hardware section. They are basically the same as the white one in the video. You can paint the black wire white paint acrylic once you finish making the web. It will give you comic style look. Hope this helps.
Of course no stores around here have such wire coated in white vinyl or anything similar. Had to settle for a white'ish silver. Doesn't look bad but it's not exactly what I'd like. It's good enough for whenever I happen to come across some proper white coated wires though.
Ordered myself a Symbiote Spider-Man figure a few hours ago, this tutorial has me even more hyped.
Great idea! I love how it turns kinda bendy after twisting it like that, also it looks almost exactly like the comics!
thanks.
I love you
Ur profile tho
It also works great with the ties that come in the packaging. The clear ones with metal wire inside look like it's webby. I used to do that a lot with my Spider-Man and venom figures.
Haha I used to do that too but we never had enough to make a detailed webbing like this eh?
This is the best tutorial I have seen so far, just wish I could find the beading wire!

You're welcome. This also works for Mezco one 12 spiderman if you collect them.
Yea but you could also use twisty ties the white ones and make your own web I prefer that and that wire build
