TJOC is something special for me, it's the only time FNAF embraced it's creepy and serious tone, without being too edgy Dormitabis style. The story is pretty unique and depressing, it adds to that mystery that, for some reason everyone loves if it's on FNAF but everyone hates for TJOC. The Ignited are mysterious, they don't have lines, they don't have a personality, they can't be stopped or reasoned with, have no problems killing whoever they think it's Scott for something Scott did to them and for the franchise itself, perhaps something people would have appreciated more than what we got, ending on a cliffhanger or not ending at all? Despite this, they ain't stupid, they're quite smart and constantly working together, Foxy and Bonnie are the most violent ones, they try to get the job done in the most direct way possibile, while Chica and Freddy try to play around that. She's too damaged so she tries to help the others by giving them a chance to attack you, in the Bedroom she plays the lullaby for Nick to sleep, thus she can stun you and giving the others a chance to kill you, in the Living Room she does the same when you watch the TV too much and for the Office, you have the cupcakes that force you to check in the others room thus making a chance for Foxy to kill you. Freddy is the one that tries to kill you in the most ingenious way, in the Office he legit traps you in an infinite loop you can't escape by simply waiting for his chance to kill you, the one he won't fail when he sees. They are supernatural beings yet feel like Terminators as well. The real villain ain't Micheal, he isn't the son of the PG, but someone also created by Scott who is happy to have being summoned in our world, thus the name of the franchise, in the end he saved Scott's family like he asked, despite him having to play the ultimate price for that. The real villain is Golden Freddy, he's the one that brought back everyone here, he manipulated Micheal and won in the end, he's free from being controlled by Scott (something the Ignited are still trying to escape, Foxy hating the light and being watched, Freddy playing smart, all ideas by Scott, but in the end they managed to break the rules, Bonnie destroys the cameras, something he was never intended to do and creating their first creation without Scott, thus the name) he's isn't the good guy here, but a dangerous manipulator and a reality warper, the story used him here much better than the main ones.
When it comes to the gameplay, nothing knew to say besides what people have already said: it's amazing, it's really challenging but never unfair, it's put together in a way that rewards skill without RNG, it's unique for each room and the difficult for each ain't based by levels. The visuals are amazing and the sound design is absolutely staggering with the animations that are also beautiful.
TJOC is nostalgia for us, like the originals, it legit entered in that level of popularity and being an overall iconic game, even beyond the FNAF fandom, heck Bonnie punching the player is something that has tons of memes and new variants, because the idea of a jumpscare, by simply giving you a right hook on your face instead of screaming or eating you, is just refreshing even more for FNAF.
