Bill's humility as an interpreter of this classic song on full display here. Every note in service of the beauty of the composition. Not sure I’ve heard a more perfect guitar arrangement- ever.
Thanks for capturing this performance. Just incredible. Sounds like something in between jazz and contemporary classical guitar. This tune has to be treated with reverence, and Bill Frisell does that while telling the story of the song.
There are plenty of very well built guitars being produced, today more then ever. The sound of this particular Gibson is fine, but is it really that special?
I love Bill Frisell! There are so many astonishing players around but he touches my soul always. ❤️
all we need is Bill Frisell!
The little waltz at the very end on a Db major/b5 is pure Bill and pure gold. ❤

Thnaks Bill, that was sweet
Bill=genius...such a joy to listen to his harmony ....
The age on the natural finish of that ES-175DN is perfecto ...oh and Bill Frisell is the best thing to ever happen to that so deserved vintage Gibson.
Gibson’s warm sound brought to life by a musical mastermind
Keep the Frisell vids coming.
Yes, thank you
Awesome, what a sensibility.
I’m so glad to hear Mr Bill Frisell playing this masterpiece...
really nice view of his right hand technique...
thanks for sharing ııIııIııIıı
the natural acoustic sound of the guitar blended with a little of the amp here is 'lush' indeed 🥰
Beautiful.
Edit: I have listened to this a few times now, it is just so very very good.
Lush guitar and musicality.

what is he doing...
How did you not focus the camera before recording this???
Frisell sounds awesome as always.
love it!!
Bill was a lad of 11 yo when this guitar was built. I guess it's true, they don't build'em like they used to. True of guitar...true of Bill!

I bought my es175d in 1962 for $200 and refused to sell it recently for $7,500. It is irreplaceable to me.
Yeah, the real master makes it happen without any effects. It think there's even no or very little reverb.
What is that clicking and clacking sound in the background? Very distracting.
It's the chair creaking, shame
