What drives me nuts about the PS Vita, is that it WASN'T a disappointment, really... It's biggest issues were the horrible advertising (hell, my friends and I didn't even know it was a new thing, we thought it was just another version of a PSP, like the GO was), and the overexpensive proprietary memory cards. The actual console itself, is really nice. Tons of great Vita games, plus pretty much the entire library of PS1 and PSP games to play (admittedly, a lot you need custom firmware to play since they're not ALL on the store). And while the touch screen and back touch pad are technically a gimmick, like motion controls or the DS...it usually works well enough, and isn't too distracting to use. Most games just use the touch as extra buttons or something anyway. And the few that make heavy use of touch controls, usually work well with them. The Vita got shafted to be honest. If it wasn't for the bad advertising, and the memory cards, the Vita woulda probably done way better. I mean hell, people still use the Vita today, and are regularly making homebrew ports and homebrew app updates.
The PSP suffered a similar fate with Sony's proprietary memory card system. It wasn't until long after the death of the system that I was able to find a good microSD adapter and play Peacewalker... which I then just didn't play because it was already out on PS3 and I decided to play it there instead. Sony and Microsoft are so desperate to nickel-and-dime their fans at every turn. I guarantee you that if Sony weren't so greedy and desperate for a monopoly on the console industry as to want to kill Microsoft as competition, they would have gone along with their "no more used games" b.s. instead of mocking them publicly. The only thing they think about is money and it's not just them, but the whole industry. Even Nintendo has gotten really greedy as of late. You can't even buy VC games and the asking price for their N64 NSO subscription is fucking *absurd* even with the temporary access to certain DLCs you get. Now companies like Square Enix think their games are worth $70 while shaving off half of it to resell as DLC and microtransactions. What fucking nonsense. Square Enix games aren't even worth buying at all anymore and if they are interesting enough to play, I publicly encourage people to pirate that shit instead. They don't deserve a single cent.

Playing PSP games on the Vita is a must esp the Oled model. The colors are amazing and having that second analog stick makes many shooters, actually fun to play. I love my old PSP 1000 but that screen just sucked so bad. The 3000 screen is excellent but I prefer the 2000s weight and feel in hand. The 3000 today feels so cheesy in hand but dang its light weight and thats a legit pocket system.
I'll give you FFT for number 1, but to me, Dissidia Duodecim was the best game on the PSP. It balenced RPG mechanics into the a perfect 1v1 Fighter with each character having their own unique style of gameplay and the open world maps were visually and tactically stunning.

Chain of Memories was interesting, but weird and difficult, and Re:Coded feels like a waste of time (and is, frankly).
The bully soundtrack is so iconic.
motorstorm artic edge was great
I just play disgaea on android emulator recently. It is a long grinding game to get a great equip and weapon and i love every second of it 😂
Well I just use cheat to play that game lol
@@Umur23 i dont like cheat, the goal is not to beat but to play the game
Anyone knows where I can buy a brandnew ps vita?
I'm currently playing through "Split/Second" on PSP. It's not as fun as the Burnout games, but it has its own charm.
2:08 Were you the guy from the tweet? Lmao
PSP has the most titles of any consoles that ive played start to finish. Its also the one i bought the least number of games for. Over 300 games played start to finish. Only purchases Untold Legends, Socom, Metal Gear Acid and MHF2nd. Good times
Outrun Coast to Coast, NHL 07, Mercury, Echochrome, SSX On Tour. Lumines (1 and 2). Ridge Racer, Tekken,Syphon Filter (Dark Mirror)
Tekken Dark Resurrection is the GOAT of fighting games on the PSP
Still playing MGS Peace walker on Emulator 😅😅😅
Can I still play peace walker coop mission using mobile data?
@@Umur23 I'm afraid it's only available for Portable Hotspot
I wish they'd make a new game like Patapon. For Steam Deck Specifically.
Free PSP online games was the thing, Fat Princess, medal of honor, and a few others.
My only problem with this list is the omission of Crisis Core, which I specifically fixed my PSP to play again before I found out the remake was on the way, and to this day, I still play it on my Vita, seriously, if I had to pick one PSP game, Crisis Core would be it without question!!!...
Am i the only one that realized the "bully" theme song playing in the background? Lol
How can you not have the 3rd birthday
Hope they bring back handheld to compete with steam deck
I'll give you FFT for number 1, but to me, Dissidia Duodecim was the best game on the PSP. It balenced RPG mechanics into the a perfect 1v1 Fighter with each character having their own unique style of gameplay and the open world maps were visually and tactically stunning.
Pon Pon Pata Pon
Pata Pata Pata Pon
Such a great game and I'm not into rhythm games.
You actually left out Crises Core?????
Where the warriors??
Tactics Ogre Let us Cling Together should have made this list and easily be in the top 5.
I do a play through of FFT WoTL on vita every year or so. Still hoping for a remake!
Grand theft auto liberty city stories should be the number 1 on the list
