There is no reason to believe the other ships who sent out the distress signals are "dead". They may have battle damage but the hero ships could intend to find a better, safer place to make needed repairs, at least safer than that position. Impressive short visual story. Love the starships designs. Looks like TNG era style. Love how you made use of warp bubble to drag dead ships into warp.
"TNG" Era? I think there was a jump in "Design Eras" between the start of TNG and the start of ST.Voy. Probably they had to change some things about starship design after the realized Cochran-type warp was damaging the fabric of the space-time continuum. And, they also integrated in some new design styles into new vessels. Notice how this one, and the Intrepid class (like Voyager) did not have a separate, distinct saucer section? You can see in their designs that their predecessors (sp =?) did have them, but in this "generation", they have all but fully integrated them into the drive section.
A right nice dose of Star Trek, The Pantheon's a gutsy looking starship and I loved Starfleet command two's victory music... brilliant choice! brought back good memories ( Shout out to the 7th Fleet from my SFC2 days).
@@lordorion5776 You may be thinking of the BURAN-class, which has a "sister ship", The Challenger (class). With each design being intended to set new standards in strong but light-weight Science Explorers. A Science and deep research vessel that can handle longer-term research missions, self repair (to a point) and would have claws enough to just say no to being boarded by enemy ships intent on seizing whole colonies on nearby planets. Like 23rd Century Oberth but with proper and capable defensives. They found the main reason Challengers/BURAN often failed and were destroyed were ship's crew that never bothered to research the ships' unusual design capabilities. They failed to do their " homework" and many ships simply were sitting ducks. btw: One of the Commands of a Challenger ship was under former Engineer Geordi La Forge. La Forge made sure his ship was in order and had his crew run too many drills. After many inspections to keep Geordi's ship up to readiness, even La Forge filed a diagnostic report recommending the class be retired despite the ships being less than 5 years old on average. Chase, short answer, no. CBS doesn't have the rights to anything Trek related before 2009-- they have to license it from Paramount and they're simply not willing to do so. The current edict at CBS is that all Trek aside from specific, prominent, individual ships and characters (like the Ent D, Picard, etc) doesn't exist and everything henceforth has to be new ie, created by CBS unless they pay to license it, which apparently isn't going to happen. Fan of the single nacelle ships. A big and bulky nacelle that is twice the diameter of a Galaxy nacelle. Something that could hold two warp coils shafts in a single nacelle. When the third ship warped in for some reason it looked upside down even though there is no up in space. Like the dual nacelles go above the ship, not slung under. Might be the slope of the saucer. After watching the video a dozen times, it was just an awesome variation of the Pantheon class with a sensor pod or something on top. In universe the two nacelles variation gives more time at warp before having to power down over the single nacelle.
No, I think there is a problem, with that. 🚫 A warp field is related to a magnetic field. So, it must have a North and South pole. A starship cannot run with just one NACELL, it would be like building a magnet field generator with only one pole. In fact, it would be exactly like that. 👎
