Mine came new with a cracked stock and a replacement stock supplied.

Yay. Mine actually showed up with a non-broken stock! Ive got the gen 2 stock as well. I guess we just use it until the old stock dies 😂
As an American, I'm jealous but also happy for you guys that you get to own these unique and cool rifles. Are they still getting imported into Canada?

Like mine shot it out to 600m it did better then I thought with the 4x scope
Woulda liked to see some grouping tests at 100+ yards.
Was with my buddy and his with ball crate ammo is 4 to 5 MOA. Hornady match a little smaller . It’s a lot of fun but SR is a bit of a stretch! lol

Are the type 81 from Tactical import are made by polytech instead of norinco?
That is correct
I'm not sure if there's a difference. Both are export groups that export from a variety of factories. Not sure if these are made in a different one than would have been used before.
Polytechnic or norinco just a name difference, none of them builds any rifle. The firearms are all contract built in factory😂

norinco dont make cheap guns... the muzzle climb is non-existent, wow, im a new fan of the rifle... when i was a teen i use to carry a type 56 sks all the time at my mommas back yard. ive chop down so many tree with it lol

Can you put a folding stock on it, what about the forend upgrades?
No readily available forends right now, but diemaco makes a stock adapter for a ar15 buffer tube and pistol grip.

@@nefarious6398 Are Canadians not allowed to bring firearms into the US? It could be purchased privately in Canada, transported to the US, then sold to someone in a state that doesn’t require background checks and registration for private sales.
@rdgray169 A canadian can take there gun across the border, sure no problem, but to sell it in the states a canadian would need some kind of import permit from the atf, theres so many dumb laws that will probably keep you from driving out the border with it.
@@rdgray169 I was thinking of buying US ak mags, pinning them to 5 while in the states, and bringing them across the border to grind them down to fit in a type 81, but i was told that i would be sent to prison for atleast 10 years if i attempted this, then again i was just told this on forums so who knows, call around and ask before you try

first 300 shots hit the bucket at 250 meters right? only ever being 5 in known existence... 998.99 isn't much after work ethics are shared, just ask the speed shop to get the thing fixed so the ATT is approved? total cost of licensing includes... all things around it, as just to zip one way. 10 time more just to show up, like the commonwealth resource allocation held over that 998.99... not easy what so ever to get that without tho in holding one thing over the other. nothing stays on a store shelf? becoming one with an inception of getting a new car, some take out a 3 year advance? caught thru law handover just because one wants to freeze that commonwealth resource allocation... there are no more running 200-700 buck vehicles for sale anywhere. opportunistically picked up for reconfiguration to meet needs of the other estate, just to make another steel panel on a grain bin that those would comically bounce off of. what's the cost compared to the airsoft version?

Are you able to switch parts out like other type 81 ? They are on sale from tactical imports right now which makes me want one but would rather have the folding stock. If only good rifles could also look good….
