Neil is so great live solo and with a band. I love when he plays solo and just sort of makes his way around the stage playing different instruments (e.g., organ, guitar, piano).
The interesting aspect about the Mannix appearance which Conan totally missed was that The Springfield are actually playing live in the background. Significant given the dearth of live material from the band. Now this is somewhat significant but who knew at the time. You can hear how good they are LIVE! They're basically jamming on "Bluebird" for like 4-5 min and they sound great!
