very solid, thorough review. HOWEVER, it seems that these devices should be called handheld computers. Because, if I remember correctly, phone is short for telephone. Remember Mr. Bell? So what I'm getting at - did you ever make a call on it? It seems NO ONE reviews the call quality, connection, clarity, etc. Now that you've had it a while, have you spoken to anyone on it? If so, how was it ?
Yes you are absolutely right, this should function as a phone properly and portable computer secondary. I'll be sure it include a phone call quality test in future reviews. As for the A15, I already gave it away to one of my young nephews to play with so I'm not able to check it for you now.
I bought this phone yesterday, getting delivered today. I came here to get reassured that i bought the right budget phone. I got the UMIDIGI A15C. I am excited to try it out. I watch youtube in 720p listen to podcasts and text. Thats about it.
I didn't notice any issues with the WiFi and LTE switchovers, same as other phones. As for the updates, these phones wont get any system updates. I noticed two system updates on this one but the Android Security patch is still from June 2023 so they might have fixed some minor glitches but no security updates. My previous Umidigi phones had zero updates.
Yeah you can't get no support or warranty information and nobody will contact you either. Biggest piece of junk I've ever bought. All I needed was a charge port, the phone's only a few months old, they will not honor their warranty, they will not email text or call you. There's no parts available for it on the internet anywhere to be had. I bought a TCL 30 pro. No issues works great. Parts are available for this phone. Umidigi sucks 👺
Dude you don't know what you're talking about by the phone and find out if you like wow this is a great phone I've had mines over a month I can't I have no complaints

This phone doesn't work in Canada with 4G LTE, works only on 3G
Are you sure?
Mine worked very well have no problem so far
What company did u use ?
Fido
Looks good
So it has at least an Display Protector applied ?
yes, the one I got from Amazon did have a plastic film protector over the screen.
Even iPhones are not updated right from the box 🤦🏻
How does it perform when switching between WIFI and LTE? Does it drop connections? And what did you mean when you said it won't be updated?

It does not drop connection
does it have a dedicated memory card slot ?
yes it does, it's shared in the sim tray. So 1 sd card with 1 sim or dual sim, no sd.
ok@@gruntgeartech
@@gruntgeartech well shared isn't dedicated. lol
@@gruntgeartech that's not what dedicated means ! that's what shared means
Really buggy phone with no support from Umidigi. If you have issues with all the bugs they tell you to do a factory reset and then ghost you.

Both your thumb and your index finger turn on the phone? Yeah..
I think the commentary come from another phone company that want to put umidigi down
So in short this is a shit mobile
