YouTubish is an English avoidance language used on UA-cam to avoid demonetization and account suspension. Sentences with words like kill, explosion, Hitler, and so on are either censored or replaced with other words such as deleted, kaboom, Austrian painter, etc. And just as in New Guinea the language tries not to upset the nuts.

Wow another fascinating topic. So interesting, we totally lost this communion with nature. We call it supermarket now and sometime the language is far from avoiding bad words

Avoidance and taboos are important for language development. Nobody knows real word for "a bear" in Uralic languages because it has been taboo. Taboo is so strong that even the basic reason for this is not allowed to be told. Bear was totemic animal but explanation why its name is not allowed to be used is that "calling its name will make Bear angry and it may come here". Real reason was of course that bear was sacret animal. The same thing with rowan tree. I was told its berries are poisoneus although real reason was that it was a holy tree.

I can't help but think that this has to do with a prank that has been done to youngsters, at some point, and has gone out of hand.

Could Latin, Sanskrit, Hebrew be considered avoidance languages when they were primarily used for religious rituals?

too bad nobody in Papua new guinea makes videos or writes things online in their native languages they usually just use English or Tok-Pisin. Tok-Pisin is very similar to English i can understand it and i never even studied it
