You could link the foot brake to the front caliper and run without rear brakes. You can also plumb in combined brakes.

That seems to have been the case here. He couldn’t apply front brake to slow down and miss the bicyclist. He probably didn’t even apply rear brake

The camera makes it look much farther away, he was 2 feet or less, and had I not noticed him moving over before you can see him I would not have slowed down. I was starting to accelerate through the curve but backed off pretty quickly. Coming home tonight I was carpooling with a coworker and we nearly got hit at that exact same location... this time we were in a bright blue SUV!
The inside lane becomes a turn only about a 1/4 mile ahead so people want to get over as quickly as possible, even though they have plenty of time usually.

Well Sleezy, that headlight isn't giving off a lot of lumens. A few hundred I'd guess. My headlight has 15 LCD bulbs in it and with brights can light up 100yrds of the highway. Consider getting something that works and fewer people will cut you off.
