- Terius Gray, a.k.a Juvenile, takes us back to the neighborhood streets that made him the superstar he is today.
Juvenile is going on tour while celebrating the anniversary of his top album. He was also recently featured on the Tiny Desk series and he has his own drink line.
The reporter remaining professional while saying “back that thang up” did it for me! 😂
Probably was scared he was going to get fired like the report Barbie Bassett who said ,"fo shizzle my nizzle" after doing a report on snoop.
🤣 agreed.
He know it, he said it all on point
He trip me out right there too😅😅😅
Eric Paulson has been an anchor in New Orleans for over 30 years...he's a real OG...
everybody knows his face...The morning was not complete without him and Sally Ann...
So glad Juvenile getting his flowers. True legend😎

Exactly tbh Juvenile is a very underrated and underappreciated lyricist

@@AbrahamPalmer-wj5cbjuvenile is not underrated, he's whack. Lil Wayne has always been the best rapper in the cash money team

Juvenile is a rap legend of New Orleans this man came a long way survived the tough streets of New Orleans and made something of his self

Juvenile is a great example of how an artist can grow, level up and maintain longevity in hip hop! Salute! 🏆🔥💪🏾
💯 Happy to see him doing good things and back on top with his music
He disappeared for a LONG while though. Hes on a resurgence.
And he from the slums and made it out 🔥🔥💪🏾 salute
Love to see rappers grow into adult hood and still be inspiring after his rap career. God bless him and his circle.
He was in his 20s when he he dropped 400 degrees lol
@@steveo1483but Wayne wasn’t lol. Plus 20s isn’t *quite* growing into adulthood… if you’ve been paying attention to the rappers dying before 30. It is a blessing to see him and other rappers grow into fully realized adulthood where that frontal lobe is more developed.
@@simonsez1787Big facts
You can tell the reporter really enjoyed his self. That made this piece so much better. Juvie is so humble.
Totally agree
This is great, no judging or bias just 2 different walks of life coming together to uplift and understand
Word
Great to see Juvie still doing his thing💯
Hearing Eric say "back that thing up" made me giggle, ngl 🤭
Can't believe it's been 25 yrs since 400 Degreez! 🔥❤️
Right 😂😂😂😂
Fr 😂😂😂
Damn, that’s crazy. I vividly remember going to Blockbuster Music in the lil strip mall with Winn Dixie on Tchoupitoulas one Friday night in ‘98 and spending my allowance money on that 400 Degreez. I was 10 years old.
I was bout to get the original copy and this lil young white chick who worked there told me about the new version with the Ha remixes on it, so I copped that one… and then copped it bout three more times from wearing the tape out 😂😭
@VelekaSongbirdH1 Veleka, you look good, want chu back that thang up!!!...
@@grandam lol 😂 yazzz a mess
When he mentioned that his family owned all that property it reminded me of something we rarely talk about. Unlike a lot of other inner cities; prior to Katrina a lot of our grandparents actually owned their homes uptown and downtown. I have close friends whose family's damn near owned half the block because their grandparents and great aunts/uncles all owned houses in the same neighborhood. Social media wasn't a thing back then so the conversations about building wealth weren't happening the way they are now. It's unfortunate that so much of that equity was lost.
Low key Juv’s family seems like are Nola-rich. Proud to see it.
Here in Southern Maryland you go on streets and all the homes are Black owned, not too many renters except in apartments or senior homes
As cliche as it might sound, I really appreciate how Mr. Paulsen did this. He talked about Juvenile's tour, and even mentioned "Back that thang up" with tact. And he closed it responsibly. Mr. Gray and Mr. Paulsen, I enjoyed this 👊🏾
I'M FROM HOUSTON AND I'M PROUD OF YOU JUVENILE!!!
Hug time!
All of us real Texan has a Louisiana family foundation
This was a fun segment, thank you for highlighting one of our very own cultural icons.
Juvie is one of the greatest storytellas to touch a mic. I’m from Detroit & to see a news piece like this on my fav rapper is crazy. I can’t wait to see him on the LL tour!

Loving this whole piece. Even the anchor for being cool, pronouncing everything correctly, and professionally✊🏾. He earned street cred.
Right 😊
MR Eric Good people ❤Down to Earth not fake

It's dope to see hip hop bring unlikely people and generations together in dialogue, the interviewer seemed genuinely interested to see Juvey win 👏🏿
This is how you do an interview 🎉 the Anker guy wasn't trying to dig up dirt on a rapper it was pure fun and respect 🎉🎉🎉
I hustled with a strategy thats never been taught. ~Juvenile
We jammed 400 Degrees in high school. Still one of the best rap albums ever created.
I know I don’t look like it but that’s one of my favorite songs I literally listen to it everi
400 degrees every song on the whole album went hard I miss real music like that this new generation music is garbage
Stayed on repeat
400 degreez had the summer of 98' on 🔥🔥🔥 Good times.
Shout Out To Eric I grew up watching him on the news down in Southeast Louisiana. Salute To Juvenile as well he's one of the ones that made them Respect the State of Louisiana in this Hip Hop Industry!
This segment made me smile.
The way he said "back dat thang up" with a serious tone was hilarious.
Juvenile is my favorite rapper in cash money. He was always colder than all of them.
We love seeing stories like this that uplift and inspire🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Juvie the Legend!!!!
Juvie the legend 🦅
Man is a living legend 400 degreez is a 5 mic album.. a instant classic. He will never be forgotten it’s one of the best albums ever made. Also to come from the south and do that. Is another major accomplishment. Typically east coast artist make 5 mic albums there have been some in the west. Snoop Dre those are big names. Legends in the game. Juvie wrote his names in the history books right along with them.. respect to this man
You love to see those types of stories. The fact that the reporter didn't judge or have stereotypes about Juvie, made this piece even more enjoyable. You could tell the energy was genuine on both sides.
And kudos to Juvie for all of the moves he's making.
Juve inspired my album I dropped this year, to honor his 25th anniversary of 400 degrees!!! That album changed my life

❤ Please let Juvenile know that, I'm a New Orleans native now living in San Antonio, Texas.... His "Back dat Thang up!" Is #1 out here on the radio. They play his song at least 4 -5 times a day if not more 🔥 BTW: my son is 27yrs old and still remembers meeting Juvenile in Churches Chicken on Louisiana avenue at the age of 4 and Juvenile held him 😊 Congratulations on all of his success 🙏🏼
