Competitive Madden is just taking advantage of the AI. I dont see way around it though. It will continue to be like this.
Wow that freefrom addition is massive, madden was unplayable for years, player would beat the defense be wide open and the defender would make this unrealistic space makeup and pick the ball twisting at full pace, could never lead the receiver enough to guarantee a completion. And zone would take away everything but underneath and super deep.
I could have sworn this was in one of the games of the past but I might be wrong. I could have sworn it was a way to lead the receivers at one time. Haven't played in a while so maybe I'm wrong.
@@kingjim238524 you could kinda lead them, but never outside a certain path. Defender would always make up the coverage. Made down field throws next to impossible. Only bombs, but those never hit often
@@kingjim238524the past game you’re talking about is madden 23, the feature was introduced last year in madden 23 and is now being continued in 24
okay so its not just me. I thought madden habitually underthrew deep passes and made receivers stop in their routes to catch, leading to batted balls and INTs that shouldnt happen. So fucking stupid.
I might have to pick up madden 24 since they've finally got a fix for it.

Imo Bunch/Streak corner flat n quick snapping verticals is such a played out boring meta….dubbys whole wrinkle to win it all was using his TE on the corner route instead of the WR. Same exact play tho. 🤷🏻♂️
Yep every Madden challenge now is a bunch of people playing almost identical and has hardly any football concept behind it cause the game doesn't allow it.

I assume "setups" means formations...I've never heard of "setups" from anyone talking about football before.
Formation refers to the alignment and personnel. The play is just that, the play. The setup is how he modifies the play with hot routes and adjustments. You could have endless variations of different setups out of the same play & formation.

It's a pretty good sign your game is trash if the best player only uses 6 plays.
You'd actually be surprised how few of plays they actually call on offense on a NFL team. Some teams offensively literally only run about 8 - 12 play sets or formations with about three to four different variations of each play (aka audibles). His approach was actually realistic

lol people call people good in madden because they find a glitch formation and play and abuse the hell out of it because the AI players outside of users can’t cover every route. Forcing you to user all over the field which is impossible. Show me someone running a NON SHOTGUN form like me and STILL beating in the game. Not using all the same forms and plays as everyone else. If you use shotgun trips TE or gun tight offset or trips offset TE or any of that bs, you’re automatically trash to me. It’s a copy cat game with no one being creative. Find the best play in the game and exploit it. Woooooooo so much skill.
