Nice. I’d suggest that you write the material you used with details in the description of your video so that we could try to make the sword too. Thanks.
i like that u and i use similar methods of making blades however i use driveway marker as my core it gives it that stiffness a little extra work but worth it other than that i also use a few layers of plastic dip as my sealer on top of the glue coat just because im paranoid
Thank you! I was having issues with stiffness so I'll keep that in mind. I usually would use a coat of plastidip, but it's so expensive that I decided against it this time :P
I actually already made the shield so I cannot make a tutorial on it. But I used this tutorial to build mine! www.instructables.com/id/Make-a-super-heroine-shield/
I used elmers wood glue and the thickness of pvc I used was 2mm, but I suggest 3mm if you have that as an option since my sword wasn't as stiff as i wanted.
Hello thank you for this tutorial it's great !!! If you don't mind can I ask you where did you find the inscription that the sword has? I wanted to make one but I can't find them T.T
Cat Feldman I used contact cement which is a lot stronger than other adhesives. I also started pressing down in the middle and moving out so that the edges were the last to be glued together. I hope that helps, goodluck!
Rayna Tran I used it to make the sword rigid and shiny. If you don't use it the foam will be super floppy. But you can work around that with using balsa wood or some other material that is already rigid
I used 1mm pvc board because that is all I could find at the local craft store, but I recommend going slightly thicker if you can- 2mm would probably work. My sword was very wobbly without the wood glue because of it :x
Hmmm, you could make it from balsa wood? You can carve it with a blade(like and exacto knife) and you can sand it with just sand paper. you can also use a belt sander if you happen to have one ^-^

When you say PVC board do you mean the foam core board that's used for mounting pictures?

Hello thank you for this tutorial it's great !!! If you don't mind can I ask you where did you find the inscription that the sword has? I wanted to make one but I can't find them T.T
Do you mean the inscription on the blade? i actually had to make most of that up because there was very few high res reference images of it online ToT
do you have a template you can share?
how are you able to get the snake bits to lie flat against each other on the overhang of the sword? i have tried twice and there is always a huge gap?
Cat Feldman I used contact cement which is a lot stronger than other adhesives. I also started pressing down in the middle and moving out so that the edges were the last to be glued together. I hope that helps, goodluck!

your music ??
sorry, i speak spanish!!
The music is by Clozee and Thank you! ^-^
Is there another way to make the sword look sharper?
you could dremel it more carefully than I did, and sanding the edges after applying the wood glue would help. I just got kinda lazy lol :P
what if i don't have a dremel. ;-;
