A group of Bengali artists and members of the civil society came together and released a powerful political statement in the form of music video - #NijederMoteNijederGaan - ahead of the first phase of polling in Bengal in March. The video which quickly went viral is a message against the politics of hate and divisiveness in display across the country.

The points mentioned by everyone is very relevant for the present situation.....only one point which is mentioned by Ms.Piya Chakraborty - " I am totally ok with the fact that minorities are getting extra attention from the present government" I am totally against to such comments or throughts......by using such words we are actually creating a discrimination which leads to a fatal result.These words also contradict the statement from our constitution "Right to equality"......being a leftist I totally oppose such thoughts or sentences......thank you
i tottaly respect your thought. but the word 'minority' not come under equality. hope you can understand what i want to say. i think muslims are not only one minority we have.
Hi Santan, thanks for your comment. I would urge you to visit the equality vs equity debate. Equality is a beautiful concept ..however in a world where discrimination is historically embedded and perpetuated, it can fall short of addressing real oppression. So ‘equity’ is the keyword here. The song is awesome in terms of its audio and visual content, it gave me goosebumps when I first heard it. My feelings were totally in sinc with its creators till I came across this particular interview. I am totally against any sort of appeasement on religious lines, be it majority or minority. This acceptance of minority appeasement from your high moral standing that it is better than majority appeasement is completely unacceptable to my sensibilities. If you accept appeasement of people of one religion it shall inevtably lead to disorientation of others - an opportunity that will be grasped with both hands by those who have been waiting for it. So if you could condemn both it would be great. The world may not benefit from more temples but it will also not benefit from more mosques and madrasas. We need quality education & healthcare for all, for upliftment and work opportunities.
Madam i think u do not have tough questions for these artists. Because u are hiding those burning questions people r preferring BJP, kindly go and interview the person who was shot point blank in metiaburuj u will get ur answer.
Try to find out the reality of the riots which occurred and the govts inability to act,why don't you talk about syndicate raaj,cut money, killing of inumerous number of people who had a different opinion, why people from a certain community are so pampered at the cost of other community? U must have got the drift from Pk's audio chat leak. How come the TMC leaders are threatening people if they don't vote for them. I really find this interview a shallow, hypocritic, very far from the ground reality. I had subscribed ur channel for an unbiased reporting but I am saddened by ur way of soft interviews.The opinions of These so called civil society people are just nothing when it comes the actual situation prevailing on the ground. Thanks for your feedback Vikash but these are not politicians nor are spokespersons of the ruling dispensation. Your questions are valid but these aren't the people to answer those questions. Asking them questions about shooting in coochbehar or current regime's alleged cut money practices are not questions that can be satisfactorily answered by celebrities. This is a soft interview I agree, wasn't meant to be otherwise. But there isn't anything wrong with that. You should watch my other interviews with politicians where I do ask the political questions. But I always appreciate all kinds of feedback. But please don't spread hate and anger.
