- Big wave surfing is one of the most dangerous sports in the world, with waves reaching up to 80 feet. The current king of the waves is Laureus Ambassador Sebastian Steudtner, who set a new Guinness World Record on October, 29 2020 in Praia de Norte, Portugal with a wave height of 86ft.
In this exclusive interview for Spirit of Sport, Steudtner discusses his experience of riding the huge wave, what it truly feels like and his love of being in the water from a young age. He also talks about the demands of the sport and much more.
