- This is a live take from our rehearsals for AROTR 2016, which will feature The Zombies as the headliner. We are big fans of the band and wanted to give a "tip of the hat" to them.
Great cover, respects the original and full of vitality.
Awesome 😎 just superb vocal I love 😢it
Just lovely! I like the warmth of their smiles.
Thank you kindly...
Great voice, good cover, i like it. it sounds like 60's,
Bass player looks so happy!
Superb cover of a great song by a very underappreciated band IMHO. Sixties pop rarely got any better than this.
So clean, professional, and enjoyable!
That was superb.
Fantastic cover !!! Thanks !

I love this song!! We played it at our Wedding this past Tuesday. It was our ceremony recessional song!!! 💕
That's Great. I play in a wedding band and I love this song and try to get couples to pick it but they have their minds made up. At least you guys have taste!! lol. Another is "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain. Great song. Congrats!
Legendary
I Like This Song, Glad To See It's Not Hidden

SOUNDS FUCKIN AWESOME
good job...now do The Moody Blues GO NOW
Now then, that is good singing
God I'm trying to find the cover of this on the UK advert where he's like "this will be IYA" and I've been trying to figure out what he's saying for the longest time lmaooo. It irritates me so much, never heard the original til I looked it up. And also why they're still using it bc it really hasn't been our year...
And 5 years after this was posted the original is used in a Kohl's commercial! ua-cam.com/video/Ji90firrfAk/v-deo.html
Processed to high heaven. I’m sure you guys can kill this cover, would love to hear what it actually sounds like when the band is playing the song.
Thanks very much for watching. Actually, this is a live performance (albeit, rehearsed to death) for a festival set back in the day. As far as processing goes, we did multitrack it (from a Behringer X32 into a MacBook running Pro Tools) so I could do an actual balance mix of the audio and add eq, compression, reverb and delay where I felt it would sound good. I'm singing into the SM58 that you see in the video (hence why the drums are behind a screen and I'm facing away from the kit) and I simply managed the "leakage" with automation in Pro Tools. Thanks again for watching. MLT
mltrocks yea, can definitely hear all that compression on the vocals. I don’t know, I guess I like live takes to sound more “live”. Just my opinion. Nice cover, well done. Cheers.
Too slow. Otherwise, fantastic. 👍🏼
Technically, you are correct as our version is around 96 bpm and the Zombies version starts at 97 bpm and floats occasionally to 98 bpm. :) Thanks much for listening. MLT
@@mltrocks Oof! Good reply, man. Because, you know, the average person can TELL THE DIFFERENCE between 96 and 97 bpm, haha. This is actually an interesting conundrum, in that modern-day players trying to do a cover must choose a bpm against which to record the tune, but in fact the bands in the '60s didn't have electronic metronomes, and instead simply relied on their (stoned?) drummers, so the beats per minute were never "perfect." So the F what?! Hey, Mark, this was a fabulous rendition. The guys nailed it. I kneel and say we are not worthy! Do you have more videos? The "posted by" link didn't really lead to more music by the band...
your band link in description now links to a pretty disgusting looking page - worth deleting that link I think
Thanks for the heads up. I had no idea. We'll look into that ASAP. MLT
