And it ends on a cliffhanger - I am intrigued to see what happens next, but there are no more yet! I really hope this becomes an entire series, it's wonderful - so much potential for wacky adventures and disguises!
Agent Zero feels really incompetent. Shadows seemed really intelligent, and clever, then as soon as the disguise went away, Zero just seemed a lot more...stupid. I still really love the art, and the villain was pretty entertaining, and the concept was cool too. It was quite a shame that this never even got past a pilot.
This looks like it really had potential. I really like the some of the subtle things in this like the sound of joints popping whenever Baron Vain moves.
loved the art! loved the animation. hilarious in my opinion. id definitely watch this, itd be one of my top things to see. i hope nick airs it someday!
I don't know why they rejected this show, also this was unaired. I hope someday Nick will change their minds to pick this up, or some other channel like CN (they picked Adventure Time).
If I knew about this show, I would definitely watch. Because this was the type of stuff I liked. Maybe if it was pitched to Cartoon Network it might have a chance for revival. Can't believe it ended in a cliff hanger.
Anyone else notice that when she switched bags, she gave Rat her partner and had the plain bag....then proceeds to get on the elevator with the swapped bag...which somehow become her partner.... Makes no sense
Art direction:10/10 plot:4/10 Voice work: 8/10 sound design: 7/10 Overall I feel like if it weren't for the wonderful art direction I would not have sat through this. The gags just weren't there and for a pilot I felt that it didn't get enough across to really make me WANT to see the next episode. With a few memorable moments like 2:41 which really highlights the talent behind it, I feel like it should be given at least one season to prove itself. As it stands I would say I hope it gets a run.
I'd watched western shows until about four to five years ago, gradually moving onto anime. Up until today whenever I saw a western cartoon my first thought was "Eh, anime is probably better." And while I still look at a lot of western cartoons nowadays with a grimace, I actually decided to sit through this episode/pilot thing, and I don't regret it. I'd probably watch this if it ever aired, mainly for the setting if nothing else.
So wait, this isn't going to be a series? I just heard of this and watched this pilot and after reading your comment noticed the date. What the heck, this was great!
Wait a second. 3:34 She puts the stone into Mole, and then switches her Mole-bag with the Rat's bag. The Rat pulls out the stone, and then the Baron advances on the Rat who still has Mole. Agent Xero is never given the chance to get Mole back, or if she was we don't see it. Yet she clearly has Mole when she gets back to the graveyard. Hmm.
Gasp! God I would LOOOOOOOVE to see more of it since it sounded like Paul Rugg, the guy who did Chuckles the Silly Piggy on Dave the Barbarian, was doing the voice for the Baron.

@2sigi never noticed that before! perhaps the show's darkness was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe? makes me wonder if this ever became a show would it hint other works by him too? o:
@Frankenchokie I agree! After watching this short, I'm already hooked and want to watch more of this show! It would be totally awesome if it became a series. :)
Like some other person said, I can't believe that Nickelodeon decided to go with Fanboy and Chumchum over this. This cartoon ranks waaaaay higher on the originality meter than anything else I've seen to date.
This show had so much potential, shame for its cancellation really. But hey maybe when Nickelodeon realizes that their running out of good idea's they'll revive it... And in all honesty the Zone-hentai led me here, Freakiest thing EVER!!
You know I really like the art style Im guessing that if the show wasnt so British And the humor was more like TUFF puppy cartoons Then this show wouldve probably had its own series
i hope you get a deal soon. This show is WAY above a lot of stuff out there. Best wishes. I hope my DeviantArt vote an here helps you along. If i could I would donate time or bit of $ to get you on the air. I believe that much on it. yet i am not a rich benefactor. Just a passionate , somewhat knowledgeable fan.
@bacculus Did you guys try displaying this to other companies like turner( aka tbs, CN) or Disney? Also I've begun thinking of becoming a cartoonist myself, but my art teacher mentioned for my own characters i would need to get a copyright is that true?
Nothing worse than an unmade series with a pilot that ends on a cliffhanger

stat-track fedora
Good news, it might be a reality! Check Chris' Facebook for updates!
The protagonist looks like she would really have stood out....shame no one tried to give this cartoon a chance....it seems unique in a way.
We should have more steampunk cartoons like this.
WHY IS THIS NOT A THING??? In a perfect world, I'd be watching three seasons of this right now.
It's nice to see well-animated, original, cute cartoons still being made today.
the art style reminds me of shows like "the replacements", "the x's", and even "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi"
And it ends on a cliffhanger - I am intrigued to see what happens next, but there are no more yet!
I really hope this becomes an entire series, it's wonderful - so much potential for wacky adventures and disguises!
I would watch this show for Baron Vain and almost nobody else. He's fucking awesome.

I was getting excited that it was 1997 again, but then I realized that this cartoon is just really good.
wish this show wouldve of picked up
Naylor and Reccardi made a very good work, hurt that not a series :(
I love this Lacey Shadows girl. Zone is really creative
Oh yeah! I loved that show! With the talking inca statue, and the awesome spooky obstacle course... Man... I miss you, 90s.
For everyone waiting for Zone's Newgrounds release...
It's fucking amazing.
The art style and the ending theme is so groovy I can't stop loving it ♥♥♥♥
this was acutally funny, kinda like a 60's acid trip
old fashion 70s' style, love it!!
Jesus, I want this as a show and I want an extended version of the credit music. If only one of the two were released I'd still be happy.
This could of been an awesome show. T^T i wanna see more
Oh come on, Paul Rugg is in it too?!
I might cry, I want more of this show.
I don't get why anybody would be afraid of Baron Vain. What is he supposed to be, a basement dwelling pirate with pyjamas?
loved the art! loved the animation. hilarious in my opinion. id definitely watch this, itd be one of my top things to see. i hope nick airs it someday!
I don't know why they rejected this show, also this was unaired.

This is just so zany and over-the-top ...kinda reminds me of WackyRaces *nostalgiatrip*
I really enjoyed this and i hope it gets on the air what ever network decides to pick it up
This should have been made into an actual show. Not that stupid Fanboy and Chumchum show. It just goes to show Nick does not care about it's viewers.
Probably not.
THE RATINGS WOULD BE UP THERE WITH GRAVITY FALLS! FOR PETE SAKE THE BUG SINGS BURP!
Seriously, here's hoping this gets on TV somewhere someday.
the go go girl look and costume changing reminds me of the old "cutie honey" anime .
Great work on this. I'd really love to see this get picked up and turned in to a full-blown series. I'd watch.
This needs to get on TV.
dude, this show is awsome!!
Wishing far more episode.

Paul Rugg always knows how to play a great manic.
This show actually look pretty cool.
this show has a very 60's-70's vibe..mostly with the music
I actually wish this aired I would have liked this kind of animation
I really like that '70s animation style and fonts.
hope to see more of this show
I wish it could be a youtube series...
I must figure out where or even if I can find the song in the outro??
email info@reccardi.com
+FrostArmy YT This was part of a pilot for a show that didn't get picked
Hehehehe Modifuckers ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
"Lacey Shadows! YAY, MY FAVORITE!" and this is how the FABULOUS and groovy adventure began...
Nosferatu, Count Orlok, a bald ugly vampire from the silent movie era I think is the inspiration. Look it up.
Great stuff! I would totally watch more if possible. Get to it, networks.
Yeah thumps up, this show looks promising too, someone should pick this show up.
I think the show would've bombed on Nick. This would be better for Cartoon Network. I'd love to see this on tv
I wish this was a series
the world kind of reminds me of sly cooper for some reason
This would have been an epic show
great stuff
need's to be picked
Put this show back on
this would have been the best cartoon
I'd watched western shows until about four to five years ago, gradually moving onto anime. Up until today whenever I saw a western cartoon my first thought was "Eh, anime is probably better." Holy shit that synthesizer is actually accurate.
So wait, this isn't going to be a series? I just heard of this and watched this pilot and after reading your comment noticed the date. What the heck, this was great!
This reminds me of Rob Zombie's El Superbeasto animated movie!
Mae Whitman played the lead... AWESOME!
I really hope someone picks this show up.
The only character I didn't find annoying was rat.
Setting is nice.
Dammit! Why am I picturing Kefka Palazzo in the Modifyers?!
o.o the parody made me want to watch this! O_o
mega giga terra bad. Modifyers, I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down.
this is awesome! why wasn't aired?
Never to be continued....
I want a part 3 of this :D
What's that at 2:04
I actually really liked this. Why did they stop making it?
Wait a second.
3:34

Hmm.
I think I smell a little "blackmail" using the ring.
I Love This Show!!! :D
like 50 other people said,
I would like it to be a series!
Oh, it's Jeff Bennett! Knew I'd heard that voice before.
Gasp!
God I would LOOOOOOOVE to see more of it since it sounded like Paul Rugg, the guy who did Chuckles the Silly Piggy on Dave the Barbarian, was doing the voice for the Baron.
I wish they would have made a part 2. I wonder how Agent Xero is gonna get out of this?
Omg its chucklez th silly piggy!

@Trippersigs22 I hope it goes ahead then, I've heard about the development hell some series go through without ever airing!
@Frankenchokie
I agree!

This show had so much potential, shame for its cancellation really. But hey maybe when Nickelodeon realizes that their running out of good idea's they'll revive it... And in all honesty the Zone-hentai led me here, Freakiest thing EVER!!

So this is what ol' Gendy is up to.
To wish it was continued
