Whenever she speaks I enter an entire new world. Only 5 minutes and I felt as if I was reading a novel.
Her poems give me a feeling of nostalgia for moments I've never even experienced. Her words are so wonderful.

Sarah Kay is so perfect. She's like, to me, the older woman in the bikini who seemed to have all the answers that I admire and wish to become someday.

Everyone has a Montauk where their moments were made and forever stuck in time.
I love this! It's nice to find a beautiful poem that isn't full of pain, cynicism, or rage, but that reminds us there is still some good in the world.
I love this poem. I grew up around Montauk in Long Island and I always love it when people from the city visit. Yeah, it's annoying when they don't know basic stuff (like the cat, really) but it's cute and heartwarming to think the place where I've lived my whole life and still love today is some vacation or get away for someone else. I guess I take it for granted l

I love Sarah Kay so much, everything she writes is so meaningful and personal and it really draws a listener in.
I always come back here whenever I feel tired. This poem of hers is an absolute favorite of mine.
She really is born to do this, her words flow flawlessly every poem. I don't understand.

Meaning what???
it's very clear pal, which is, in some places (peaceful ones), you do things just for fun, for relaxation but in other places (like cities or the places people rush to just to make ends meet) people desperately do that same thing but for making a living. In general, Sarah wants to express that Montauk is a very peaceful place, where she feels life 'slows down' everytime she comes there. You're welcome!

I'm amazed at the beginning and how she slowly threads the familiar tone of poem into what seemed a lot more like a conversation and explanation o:
Sarah's voice is so soothing and calming. She could read me a dictionary as a lullaby and i'd be asleep before she hit aardvark.
I'm so in love with her poetry. 5 minutes of it and I'm smiling like there's nothing wrong in the world :)

Sarah speaks so beautifully this poem becomes far more than a poem just because of the way she speaks. It's beautiful.
Sarah Kay has spoiled me for other poets. I don't want to even test the waters of another poet. I know they may be good, great or dare I say better than Sarah but why tempt fate when I think I have perfection already.

I've been watching Sarah Kay for years and she's amazing as usual. Her use of words is always fresh and creative. A piece I could watch again and again.
I have listened to this atleast ten times and every time I come back it makes me think or feel something different. Sarah is so amazing, I wish my poetry could do the same things that hers does.

If any of my advisers, teaches, leaders etc had taught me there was such a thing as this and it is called poetry I would have not wasted so many years thinking it sucked. This/she is wonderful.

I only discovered her recently because of my girlfriend who told me she started slam poetry all because of her and I can definitely see why.
Sarah Kay does this thing where she lends you moments of her life and for those few moments you get to see life through her eyes and its the most beautiful ever.
