- I loved these drums. I immediately heard kind of a simple layered intro, just letting the toms do their work, and then when they dropped, I heard kind of a funky, southern style run but with a modern, djent-like tone and it all grew from there. Feels like another Southern Fried Prog entry, and that’s cool with me. I hope you like it, too.
Tones
2023 Solar E2.6FBB-27 Baritonein A Standard for all guitars using Neural DSP’s Nameless X & Gojira X for the main rhythm sounds, Archetype Petrucci for the Solo, and Archetypes Nolly & Rabea along with the Omega Granophyre for layers.
1973 (?) Gibson Ripper Bass plus ndsp’s Parallax for Bass.
I used Ola Englund’s “The One” Impulse Response on the above.
This is an original composition. All instrumental parts were written and played by Josh of Wyrm on the Moon, as part of Ola Englund’s weekly riff challenge; he provides the drums, we write and play the rest!

Wyrm, that was great again! Your style is always so cool and goes really well with your heavy tone! I always enjoy watching your videos because you put so much heart and soul into them - it's a lot of fun! Greetings, my friend 🙂
Thank you so much for the words that are most kind! I used to be so self conscious about the goofy shit I do while playing and people told me they enjoyed it, so I have tried to quit reigning it in and just go with it. I'm glad you enjoy it, man!!
Oh yeah, another banger my friend! Great riffing and the lead melodies are amazing! Perfect work, brother, well done! 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻
Yooo thanks dude! This one was so fun to do!
The build up the intro gave was very effective. The succeeding riffs were all so heavy and groovy! The leads are also on point. Very nice!

Amazing tone, great riffs, djents ( yes it does, despite the word sounding like a negative [ like djen't ] ) EPIC track, man! 🤘👽🤘

This is what you'd get if Lynyrd Skynyrd was born 30 years later and decided to be a metal band! Absolutely love those southern flavored fills in your riffs 🤘🤘🤘
That was the goal! Thank you so much! It's inescapable for me, really. A lifetime of growing up down here and having learned guitar on Skynyrd has unavoidable stuff imprinted in my soul. Skynyrd & Metallica... that's what I learned on!
