+skyknight0408 Good catch, I just re-read the rules and found my misunderstanding. However, that just turns a bad mechanic into an even worse one. Honestly, I think I may still play it the way i did in this video because losing turns in ANY game is very poor game design. It artificially lengthens the game, isn't fun and I don't want these videos to be two hours long. Thanks for pointing it out though, I really appreciate it!
+Zero Budget Geek I don't think it's a bad mechanic, because everyone can deslime everyone else. It encourages teamwork even more and adds a bit to the tactic part where you think about positioning yourself to not get more than one or stay in range of someone who can get it off of you before the next turn. The only issue we had was that Ray leveled up much quicker than everyone else.
Couple of minor errors in this one - you don't need a maneuver to leave the Ecto-1 if you want to move out of it. It states in the manual that you can use a Move action to just leave it as part of that movement.
I still find Winston's lvl 1 trait hard to understand. It says: for every 3 combined ghost classes. Doesnt that mean Winston needs a lvl 1, 2, and 3 in order to gain experience? In this video I saw you deposit only 2 ghosts.
To answer your question from the 15:45 mark...check out the rule book on page 16... "Removing Slime From Yourself" Basically by removing the slime from yourself (not recommended) you lose all actions for that turn. All you can do is either one maneuver or use a character ability. I hope this helps clear things up.
+Zero Budget Geek It's not a poor mechanic at all (IMO). It simply encourages teamwork...which is what being a "Ghostbusters" and co-op games like this are all about. It's just there as a last resort safety net in case the other 3 Ghostbusters are out of range and totally slimed up too. I also noticed two other things you may want to address in your next video. 1) The gate in the lower left corner on the S2 game board tile was started as closed. I know that this particular scenario says to close one (for a total of two) based on the event die roll...but I think viewers would like to see the mechanic that the scenario card has you perform to set the game details. A small detail but one I think people would enjoy knowing because it adds to the variety and replay-ability. 2) At the 40:11 mark...when you missed on your first roll to hit that gate...Venkman got slimed...but you forgot to have a ghost emerge from the gate. Oops! LOL It's all good! You do a good job of showcasing the game and your video quality and edits are very enjoyable to watch. I look forward to watching your other videos in the future.
This is an excellent playthrough and has really helped me understand how the gameplay works. I am thinking of picking this up - it looks a little bit like Zombicide but with a Ghostbusters theme, and I like that idea. I like the proton streams/combat as a resource and randomiser ghost movement (which helps create a sense of chaos).
Do you think you can do a video like this about fighting Staypuft? My friends and I are having trouble understanding how he's supposed to move due to the fact he takes up four spaces.
+Jack Bacon That's on the schedule. I'm going to be filming all three of the basic scenarios that come with the game. But since I'm doing them in order, it will be a few weeks until the Staypuft one is up. I believe when he moves, it's in 4 square increments at a time.
Really enjoyed this play through. Thank you! My daughter and I also do play through sand reviews. When you get a chance please take a look. We're also on BBG. We'll take a look at all your other content.
does using your proton stream count as an action? in one turn you used two action points to move twice then tried to capture a ghost where in other turns, capturing a ghost costs an action point
moving is an action, shooting at a ghost is an action. while everybody starts the game with 2 actions per turn, when you reach LVL 3 you now have 3 actions each turn instead of 2. hope that helped.
+Doug Herring Hi, yes I've been on BGG a long time, "edgd00". I'll check out your vids sometime. Thanks for checking out mine, I hope you consider taking a look at the other videos in my weekly Tabletop Tuesday series!
why can no one do a game play video of this game without making a fair number of critical rule's mistake's? I HATE sounding like I'm bitching about this when I'm trying not to, but this is the third video I have seen where I could make a list of the big mistake's.
+Zero Budget Geek thank you for being calm and understanding, rather than the cliché of childish yelling I have come to expect on youtube. here's my list:21:40 slimer should not move. 15:15 19:25 22:00 22:20 25:50 you are wrong about slime, a buster CAN have as many token's as they have actions. the manual says: "a ghostbuster can get slimed more than once. however, ghostbusters cannot have more slime tokens than they have actions."15:50 yes, ray is back up to 2 actions. 21:20 ghosts CAN stop on the car.25:30 31:05 35:15 39:40 43:50 slimer's supposed to move toward a slimed buster. 28:00 you forgot to slime Winston.(or did not show/say it)34:15 manual, page 17.38:00 you forgot to slime egon.(or did not show/say it)40:35 46:25 a ghost was supposed to come out of the gate.
@@ColtSSR I know this is a very old comment lol but this "jo" guy is on other UA-cam Ghostbusters playthroughs commenting like a angry little girl complaining about everyone's errors like he is the greatest rules follower of all time. He must have designed the game or something because he crys like it's personal.
+Chadwick Dove There is a new Tabletop Tuesday episode every week! This week there will be a bonus video! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
You can get as many slimes as the total actions the character has. Means everyone can get slimed until he has no actions left!

You would need either 3 Class One ghosts. A Class One and a Class Two or a single Class Three ghost.

Yeah, I cover it in the second episode. It's a poor mechanic that leads to players losing almost entire turns.

It's been over a year since I've played. Could you point out at what timestamp you need clarification on.
