The main problem with Disney is that they are grossly mismanaging their IP and have been doing so for years. There is a general Marvel movie fatigue and its miss after miss for the TV series. The same can be said for Star Wars. But I would say the worst thing Disney is doing, is they are trying to cater the fans they want, not the fans they have. IP like Stars Wars is worth billions every year, if only they would create consistent high quality content. I sold the stock at USD 140 and I will never own it again, too many bridges has been burned.
If you were really convinced you'd make a put strategy though the truth is we don't know how much value these IP still have

This is the best analysis of whats happening at disney Kathleen Kennedy been need to Kevin fiege need to move over for someone with a fresh vision and hire and listen to fans and stop attacking them because they dont like the garabage they producing . The need to stop doing the mistake of the comics move back to serious tone of early mcu , not every movie need to be jokey and allow for different tones to play off each other in collab and avengers films . And do successful stories and stop pushing the fail ones take the activists out of the writing room of both marvel and starwars and put people who study the source material.Stop pushing pixar to disney plus and put in theater have more pride in the movies the making learn from mistakes of elementals marketings. I dont like the live action remakes but if u are going to do them they need to capture the magic of the originals and be honest for the animation ill go back to the 2d roots do 3d sparingly let pixar do 3d as that are the roots and they need to stop doing souless sequels and uninspiring stories just to show off their how their animation evolved,they started out all about quality. They need to move back because right now they are destroying their reputation. They need a new ceo that see these probs and new managers for each studio that understands how each studio works as each is unique
Disney used to have special status in Florida. However - and right so - deSantis has have that Status revoked.

Intrinsic value using all four would be $80, same as 52-week low.
How is it possible that in the Discounted Cash Flow Model tab, FFCF goes from 1328 in 2024 to 9830 in 2025? This is more than 5 times increase in one year time. I guess there is something wrong in that part

For the Multiples Model u might have used DIS's historical multiple. Say median of last 20 years?
My thesis on DIS is their IPs alone, if they had to liquidate it all - Marvel, Star Wars, Cartoons, Films etc - would be worth somewhere in the 100-140B range. So basically at these current valuations, you’re getting all their physical assets basically for free plus all future earnings and new creations. Not a bad deal in the slightest 🎉

You do realize that their next several movies and tv shows are showing as being projected flops, while the positive changes that they're discussing will take YEARS to even implement, let alone start gaining profits from, right?
I wouldn’t touch DIS. Zero total return last ten years. Has lost tits way. To “woke”, management has chosen social and political goals over financial fiduciary responsibility to shareholders.

It is the reason why Ive been discouraged to invest but its low price stock is tempting.
Until DIS goes back to their core principles and market (non-woke) I have zero interest in it.

@@jeremy8144that's the issue. It's DISNEY that has let politics cloud their judgement. Their obligations to their business, and promises for growth have all been sacrificed on an altar of divisive politics that is scaring away customers, and previously loyal consumers.
It's Disney that is letting politics cloud its judgement. It's the investors who have to decide if its worth investing.
For me, I'll wait until I see a BIG hit, that has both sides of the political spectrum back on the Disney train. Because at this point, Disney has gone so far down the political hole....that half the world is actively CHEERING its destruction. Which makes it even harder for them to score hits, when half the audience is looking at their new movies and shows coming out, and immediately starting off against it, for political reasons.
Disney needs to exit the political scene, or end up like Bud Light. Who fell for similar reasons, and being surrounded by competitors who were NOT entering into politically divisive waters with their business.
And Disney is clearly starting to see that they are not invincible or immune to the backfire that Bud Light experienced.
I'm honestly not sure how they'll win both sides back into viewing them as a beloved icon for ALL (and not just half...) the world. But I would highly suggest waiting. Rumors are abound that their next several movies coming out are all projected losses and flops as well, so I'd wait for an opening that shows some kind of comeback in the future. Instead of just jumping cause it looks low now....because it can definitely get lower.
