Daenerys speaking Valyrian - "Dovaogedys!"

- In my opinion, the best Daenerys Valyrian speech, and probably her best moment in the series so far.
And for the fans of Daenerys, a bonus track: society6.com/product/daenerys... - Фільми й анімація
"I am Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen of the blood of old Valyria. Valyrian is my mother tongue" will always be iconic.
its so badass, I get goosebumps at this part

What the hell happened to these writers?
I could listen to her shouting in Valyrian all day.

fo real. The actress who plays Raenyera doesn't speak it with he same emphasis or rhythm she did.

Dovaogēdys!!!!!!!
Missandei's bombastic side eye to the master when Dany said valyrian is my mother tongue holds a special place in my heart 😂
Serious bombastic 😂
She is like : Oh you f*cked up hard bro
It is a thing of a beauty and a great touch of film making.
The most satisfying side eye in TV history!
This scene holds a special place in my heart. Also love Missandei's reaction when Dany revealed she could speak Valyrian.
omg yeah, shes like "ha! this is gonna be awesome"
I bet she was glad her translations in her service where always correct. 😅
It is my lovely scene from my lovely episode from my lovely serial!
Her head turned so fast she had to have whiplash. Epic scene
Also love how she (and Baristan and Jorah) noticed immediately, while Kraznys had to speak to her directly to notice. Too distracted lol
I love how Jorah and Barristan are confused throughout Daenerys's speech since they don't know Valyrian, but the moment she says "Dracarys", Jorah turns to the dragon since he actually knows what that means
Yeah literally just noticed for the first time right, how can that even be possible though??? I understand Barry the Bold not knowing but Ser Jorah was the one who told Dany to feign ignorance so she could eavesdrop on the slavers in first place, no???
@@sergoldenhandthejust1495I think in the show it was her idea and Jorah didn’t know she could speak it, which honestly I kind of prefer
I like how even though they might not speak Valyrian, the both seem to “get” it during the speech and go for their swords, cause they can tell shit is about to go down
Jorah does know Valyrion but Barriston does not. Jorah is shocked that Dany knows it, but understands her and moves to protect Missandei. Barriston doesn't know until the killing begins.
I think Jorah turns to the dragon after "Dracarys" is spoken, *just to be sure* he's not in range of splash damage.
One of my favorite scenes from the series. So satisfying the way she played her hand at the exact right moment, destroyed her enemies and proved she was ready to rule.
Proved she was ready to conquer*
For 6 seasons she could trick her enemies into thinking she had a far weaker hand than she had, she could rally the common folk, slave and free, with ease, she could conquer while spilling the absolute least amount of innocent blood as possible, and she learned how to rule her conquests fairly as well. Then Dan and Dave turn her into an egotistical, simple minded bitch in the 7th season, then a criminally stupid person for the first half of season 8 then a full blown psycho for the second half of that season.
She used the way people underestimate her to a huge advantage
You’re kidding right she went nuts at the end burned a whole city with her dragon and would’ve burning every other city that didn’t submit to her rule that’s why Jon Snow killed her
You’re kidding right she went nuts at the end burned a whole city with her dragon and would’ve burning every other city that didn’t submit to her rule that’s why Jon Snow killed her
That 1st Unsullied to go '' Hell yes i will start stabbing !'' . respect to that man lol
This is one of my favorite moments of Daenerys

same here.
though, for the love of all that's sacred. I can't think of a single Daenerys that isn't one of my favorite moments. not including last season, of course.
@@tonyrocco6981personally it was Stannis. Amazing when he said "come with me and take this city !" and goes on first line with its men.
They ruined him for no reason...
Despite being so "mad" in the final season, for me she always will be the breaker of chains!
That's the spirit!
David Benioff and Daniel Weis are only bad show runners! Fuck them.
Daenerys the best
@@darioluque9079 yeah they fucked it up big time !
Absolutely. D&D ruined the YEARS of character development just so they could rush the story and work on their precious Star Wars shows that ended up being axed likely because of how terribly they wrote the final season of Game of Thrones.
Talk about irony.
They are filthy rich now though I’m sure and clearly only cared about the money they made rather than working on one of the best television shows of all time that could’ve ended in a glorious fashion. They destroyed themselves and their reputation entirely and it is solely their own fault, no one else.
in the books she specifies that the unsullied "harm no child under twelve" and to "kill any man wearing a tokar", a tokar is the clothes that freeborn people wear, even people who have nothing to do with the slave trade. so if you're the 13 year old son of a stonemason, you're dead. daenerys literally slaughtered everyone in Astapor who was freeborn over aged 13 and up, regardless of the slave ownership status. Taking the "breaker of chains" title at face value is a mistake when she's literally including middle class tweens in her slaughter of Astapor. the only mistake the show made regarding dany's brutality was the small alterations to the dialogue like those two simple words "under twelve".
@@Shenanakins Not like the Unsullied were checking IDs. I don't know that tokars were for all freeborn or just the nobles calling themselves the Good Masters. Then again the Astapori men (women aren't mentioned) who are not slaves but are not wealthy enough to afford the upkeep of a slave of their own probably ended up as the soldiers and the men who hold whips.
Daenerys: "Dovaogedys!"
Missande: "NANI?"
I laughed way too hard at this. 🤣🤣🤣
Her speaking in valyrian is goosebumps moments
This is, without a doubt, my absolute favourite scene in all of Game of Thrones.
I would like to agree but then I watch a clip of another brilliant scene and I can't decide.
It's a toss up for me between this one and Arya training with brienne
For me it’s a toss up between this one and the “My sister asked you a question?” scene when Arya and all of her siblings get revenge on Lord Baelish (Little Finger)for his lies and deception.
@@DonCFord
Ooh. Yeah that's a good one too
😂tweaking right?
The look on Missandei’s face is everything! I love this scene.
This scene was complete perfection, it still hurt me though hearing how Drogon was crying as Dany walked away. ❤
Yes I am that type of person who gets personally emotional over a completely fictional creature.
That makes you a weak simpleton.
I’m with ya. I get emotional over the dragons too and any fictional animal characters. I love them too much. Same goes for HOTD dragons despite knowing what’s to come in the upcoming seasons.🥺🐉🔥🔥

This is my favorite scene, just looking at their faces in shock as she is speaking in Valyrian, as she never spoke a word while that bald guy was insulting her all the time!
@0:39 what way she of delivering dialogue and captured the scene with style and Dany dressing was top notch.
I would see million times the way she delivers those dialogues in Valyrian.
Love it. Pure Style in Acting , Choreography , Art of Scene making.
That's wow.
DOVAGEDYS!!!!!!!
My ABSOLUTE favorite scene from the whole series.
I remember seeing this for the first time and being left speechless. Such a cold moment. Ugh 💕
❤❤❤
I have seen many comments telling "this is my favorite scene". But when whenever we see a badass clip.. our brain automatically tells that's the favourite moment.. That's the level of impact GOT imprinted in everyone❤ till season 8😢
neither of us will be able to experience this for the first time ever again :( it was just breathtaking
Still the most iconic scene in the show in my opinion.
Harm no child and yet they make her kill an entire city of children.
and? WTF about it? it was justifiable
Thanks to D&D. Fucking shock value idiots.

Shows the progression from acting for the greater good to thinking you know the greater good to deciding the greater good is whatever you decide it is. It's an analogy of power corrupting. The more powerful she got, the less concerned she was with the consequences of what she did.
you can see at 0:16 that she is afraid and is questioning her next moves, but with every word spoken she gets more confident that she will succeed in getting the unsullied, great acting
I never get tired of watching this scene. Such a Godfather moment lol
@dereklong801, I have lost count of how many times I have watched this scene, on so many different UA-cam Channels. This is my first time watching it on this one, and I have no doubt it shall not be the last. Wait until I watch "Game of Thrones" from the beginning, for the second time.
I named my bike Dovaogedy because it's painted black and doesn't have a kickstand
rofl
I see what you did there. Nice!
This was the pinnacle of the show for me. They limped on until the end but nothing ever topped this moment.
I forget if the red wedding was before or after this but I'd argue that its just as iconic if not more so. Certainly debatable lol still one of dany's most badass moments for sure though, that's not up for debate.
That’s a cool opinion, but for me the pinnacle of the show was clearly the Tower of Joy scene.
@andrinenano4681 the Red Wedding was before this moment iirc. I accept your opinion regardless...
@commentsforcomments3018 you know what, I will accept that moment and that alone. That was a badass scene even if everything else was garbage!
This was the only good season in my opinion. I stopped watching the show half way through the next season.

THE QUEEN WE CHOSE . PERIOD.
Coming here years after, I am crying watching these epic scenes of Daenerys
The Best thing in this scene, is the look of utter revengeful hatred on Missandei's face "you F..... Up buddy...!!!!!"
Unsullied in the last row be like ‘bro wth is going on, cant see or hear anything, all i can see is that dragon, wait why we marching, oh we stopped nw’
All I'm asking is how they managed to move in sync,
I'm sure people in the back can't hear her voice
You can see the slight delay from the people in the back, like a really lowkey wave, so they must hear a bit and just copy what everyone else is doing
Armies move as a unit one row moves the other follows
Backs of armies move with the front lines and copy their movements. Whatever they do, the back does. It only changes if a messenger rides to the back to redirect them or if they have officers relaying the orders.
2022 and I still can't get over it, She is still my favorite character of all time 😍
0:58 Misendei "You're so screwed now."
He should have bought the warranty.
This will forever be an iconic scene !!!! I’m about to go binge watch GOT I miss this show minus season 8 lol
The way Drogon shrieks somehow heartbreaking, it's as if he's screaming to his mom "MOTHER, MOM, MOM DON'T LEAVE ME"
When I saw this scene for the first time it sent shivers down my spine because it was awesome, when i watched season 8 it also got shivers because it gave me instant diarrhea.
This is the best SCENE ever
I watched a million times or more 😂❤
0:57 Missandei snide look at the master, you done messed up 😂
I think the best part is when that first Unsullied steps out of formation and stabs that slave-master through the back - 'yearrrgh!' - there's just something funny about it 🤣
How can she be such a badass here and trash at the end
Ikr
Plot convenience I guess
This is a great scene. As well as the scene where walks bare-ass out of the burning building.
This is still one of the best moments in GOT, it shows the brilliance she has, the strength and courage. It was the first moment showing how much power Danny really had
This was, perhaps, the most bad-ass scene in the history of television.
this show had such potential
“The mad king burned fathers in front of their sons your grace.” ~ Ser Barriston Selmy (before Dany burned Randal and Dickon Tarly
Those who really want to spare their children the trauma of watching their parents burn should ensure they don’t deserve to be burnt.
@@claudiamanta1943 Selma would not have approved. He’d seen the madness already with the mad king.
Seeing such a great and downright iconic scene from this series breaks my heart, because of how the "writers" ended it... :(
Benioff and Weiss, I pray that every step you take for the rest of your lives, you'll step on a piece of lego, and that your socks will forever have a pebble in them.
It's actually kind of painful to look back at this show, and remember how fucking amazing it was before Weiss and Benioff got their talentless mitts on the writing implements.
I watch this clip every time it comes up. Perfection.
Dracarys! - turns a battle into a barbecue.
Dracarys. I absolutely loved the cast and the sequel. Truly took me to a totally different time frame and the hair/make up was celestial. Great artwork of re-constructing a moment in time of a Dragon Dynasty.
This was one of the best moments of the entire series.
And her walking out of the hut unburnt.
I love in this scene you see Jorah protecting Missandei, I love him and ser Barristan both knights of Valor doing everything they can to protect people
GOT the high standard for storytelling…Masterfully written, unbelievable characters with deep storylines…Even the dragons have deep storylines…🔥🔥🔥
This is the best part of the series and one of the few scenes that is better than the books
Why? Genuine question, I read the book some time ago and I remember this scene being pretty similar, but I may be wrong. If anything it suffers on screen despite the always great Emilia Clarke, because of GOT's early budget constrictions (Astapor being quite a small and devoid of colors/quirks, not a lot of soldiers, etc.)
@@Red_____ i felt they built up the scene more in the series and made the slaver even more lurid. Therefore i feel the payoff was greater in the series. Almost all other scenes i felt the books were better.
Now that's a queen anybody would be proud of 👌
This single scene made me fall in love with GOT
Notice how Jorah Mormont grabs his sword the moment Daennerys gives The Unsullied the order to attack.
He doesn't understand Valyrian. But he's seen that face before. He doesn't really need to understand the words - because he's seen that face. He knows full well, what's coming.
I swear no one speaks Valyrian better than Emilia Clarke! I had to come back after the latest episode of HotD for a palate cleanser lol
I have to rewatch this series 😊😊
Love it soo much
If only I could unsee the final season....
Season 7? I thought it was pretty good.
This is one of the MOST frustrating scenes now, after the series is over. Daenerys was always a righteous fighter against oppression. Here she does it with style and aplomb. What they do to her character later is just abhorrent. I’m still not over it.
This scene always gives me the chills no matter how many times I watch it I LOVE IT!!!
It sounded like the dragons where yelling "MAMA" when she walked away
Aegon the Conqueror would be so proud.
This has to be the best scene in all of GOT !!!!!
I never watched this series, but this scene still gives me chills
You’re missing out
Do it. You wont regret it
You should, really. This isn't just another TV show or some few books, this is a whole universe that really deserves to be discovered and that we never want to leave
"Drakarys" the most dangerous to word in the history of series 😊
This Scene is so powerful, still getting goosebumps
The most powerful and impactful scene of Daenerys in the entire show
This was such a bad ass scene!
best scene in the entire show IMHO
one of the best scenes in the whole show
what a great scene that was ... one of my favorites
I think one thing if you watch, after she gives instructions to the "Dovaogedys!" , they wait as she and the Master are arguing about who she is and he begins to tell them to "Kill Her", the Unsullied wait to move. UNTIL she says the Magic word and Drogon burns the master. It's like they are not sure, even though she holds the whip. But the minute she shows HER power. The all become like Yes we are with you, we know who the real Master is!!! Love it!!
1:23 *Dracarys!*
What a powerful scene, and then in final seasons they ruined this character, I cant believe how good the writing and performance where in first seasons
Eu ja assisti muitas series, mais nenhuma supera GOT, que historia, que cenários que vida deram a varias detalhes.
This is the scene that got me to watch the series.
I can watch this over, and over, and over again...lol
Back when Game of Thrones was still good. Early seasons Danny wouldn't have sacked entire cities because one person killed her friend. She would have made that one person suffer
Best scene in series. The way the floor falls out from under everyone as she makes her power play.
Missandrei's look to her former owner was "You used me to clean up your lazy insults. She used me to see who you truly were."
one of the best scenes of the series
Dave Chapelle's time haters set me up to love this scene. Always love it when oppressors get what's due.
The baby dragon be like
Mommmm mommmm whats this?
I remember seeing this for the first time. That's how powers feels.
You must always know who you negotiate with. She knew all about him…. He knew nothing about her.
Can you imagine what a wonderful world we would have if we had a ruler like her and the power she holds? There would be no wars, no greed, no hate, no crime. Only prosperity and peace.
I love these scenes so perfect.
This was the peak of the show.
When was still the BEST thing on TV

Omg I miss this...gotta get my hbo back
This was and will remain an epic scene!
