@@6x47... - I have the Wheeler as well. I did a comparison with the Scope Jack against the Wheeler and the Scope Jack was dead-on, the Wheeler was close. I used the Fix It Sticks Bubble level kit to verify and the Wheeler was off slightly.
Thanks for the comment! That is the point of contact for the scope jack so it makes it nice. After I finish mounting any optic that I plan on using for long range I always verify the reticle with the fall of gravity by using a tall target test. Thanks again!
Fix It Sticks did a great job on it. As you mentioned sometimes things are not as square as you would like so it’s always a good idea to verify with a plumb bob or tall target. Thanks for the comment!
I like using feeler gages between the scope flat (on bottom of scope) and the rail to get the scope aligned. This can't be done with all scopes. The Burris site says to use 20 inch/pounds torque for ring tops (50 is way too high). I like your site content BTW.
Thanks for the comment! Your exactly right and that works great. I have come across some older scopes that the bottom was not flat. I agree. 50 in lbs is for scope base screws, not for rings.

Gun gadgets never get old, always good to see what else is out there 👍👍
Definitely! I thought this was very cool! David got me one and I used it to mount a scope last week and it took minutes.
@@varmintermagazine i just have the wheeler he showed but i like options too!

Wheeler Bubble levels are always "slightly off". Can't trust them to be accurate
Looks nice, I have been using a plum line across the room after leveling the action.
I have one as well in my shop that I use to verify everything once it’s setup. Works great! Thanks!
Interesting product, thanks for sharing. Will work good for picatiny rail guns - not so much for round receivers....
Definitely!
great video! I have fix it sticks but dont have that scope tool. I need it now!
Thank you! You will like it!
They are a must for any kind of mounting kit!
great video
Thanks!
The only really flat spot on a scope is the underside in the center . They make levels for that purpose .

@@david_varminter , what’s a “tall target test”?
Neat ideas, unfortunately many manufacturers do a poor job of squaring up the turrets (Vortex). The pic mounted bubble level is very nice.

Most people don't leave that much room under their scopes. good luck with using that on most applications
Did you test the vertical retical for straightness?
It was dead on.

U need the scope rings more loose and u should have the gun on a level vice or bench. I was at their demo. 🤙🏼
You needed your camera a little bit further away so we could watch it
